Additional Information: Information provided by the person selling this to me: antique card cabinet comprised of 5 (separate) Stacking Pieces : a Base with 2 file drawers, 3 Stacks of drawers and a Solid Top Piece The person that I am purchasing it from isn't able to weigh it accurately and is estimating it to be about 200 pounds but fortunately it can be separated into separate units. I live in Canada (Vancouver, BC) and am using a parcel receiving company in Blaine WA to hopefully make this more economical, so this item would need to be delivered during their business hours Monday to Saturday (I pay them to receive it and pick it up from them). Lynden, WA 98264 may be another option for delivery location if that is a cheaper option but the hours at that parcel receiving location are very limited (only open 10am to noon Monday to Friday) Thank you. What are u looking to pay for this moveReport a Violation
Response: I'm not sure what my maximum would be, I'm waiting to review the bids that come in. Thank you Hello I am wondering if you would consider this move for $750? There are no stairs involved and dates are flexible for pick up and delivery. Thank you. Jeannette2018-03-16Report a Violation
Response: Can this be broken down2018-03-26Report a Violation
Response: Thank you for your quick response. Yes, this is what the Ebay listing states: 5 Stacking Pieces - Base with 2 File Drawers - 3 Stacks With Card Drawers and Solid Top Piece Let me know if you have any other questions. Thank you. Jeannette2018-03-26Report a Violation
Response: I? bid2018-03-26Report a Violation
Response: Thank you for submitting a bid. I'm not sure what you meant by your last message..? I am wondering if I need to purchase insurance to cover loss or damage- I'm not sure what insurance you have. Also I am wondering if it may be possible for me to meet you in Blaine, WA to do a direct transfer to my vehicle so that I don't have to pay the parcel depot company (I would be coming from Vancouver BC). And would the bid be any lower if I met you somewhere else, Bellingham,WA or Lynden or...? I am unfortunately not getting a great exchange rate so just looking to see how I can make this more reasonably priced. Seller has given me this info about the pickup location: the file card is located in our building in town located on main level, no steps, large parking lot for truck to pull into, piece is roughly 10 feet from parking lot, my husband will have guys to assist driver with loading, large off street parking lot makes it easy2018-03-26Report a Violation
Question:

Hey there, I am an ebay seller transporting some of my own items into Washington State. I hope you'll give me an opportunity to treat your piece with the same care and respect that I do my own. I've put a bid on the job for $800, here's hoping we can do some business together! Thanks so much for your consideration. Sincerely, MikeReport a Violation
Response: Hi Mike Thank you for your bid and message. I am waiting to see where more bids come in at before making a decision. Thanks again, Jeannette Hi Mike I am reviewing my bids & looking for a bit more info.I am wondering what type of vehicle that you use, I'm not completely sure from your profile if it is an open vehicle? I am also wondering what type of insurance you have so I know whether or not I need insurance from UShip. What timeframe would you be looking at for pickup/delivery? Will you have to have help loading or unloading this item-it comes apart but don't know if it will be shipped all together as 1 piece or as 5 pieces. And is there a way of lowering the cost of the bid (unfortunately I'm dealing with a bad Canadian exchange rate)I'm not sure if somewhere like Lynden or Bellingham would be better for you and thus cheaper. If I could somehow meet you (I'm in Vancovuer BC) I could avoid depot fees. Thank you. Jeannette2018-03-17Report a Violation
Question:

I can pickup between 4/13-4/17 & deliver within 8 days of pickup. In order to accurately quote Blanket Wrap Service please describe each location: 1)House, apt, storage unit? 2)Floor #? 3)Elevator/s? 4)# of steps to cross? 5)Distance to loading/unloading area? Please provide as much detail as possible. My vehicle: Sprinter. Insurance: Progressive Commercial Cargo - $100K coverage. All items are transported with extreme care! When terms are agreeable, I'll enter a bid for your approval. Unfortunately the exchange rate has made it very difficult to do business in Canada. I used to handle approx 6-10 shipments a year across the border, last approx 2-3 yrs none. Delivering to a cross dock business on the border is very common. A prompt reply is appreciated. Thanks, Luciano - Foothills ExpressReport a Violation
Response: Thank you for your message Luciano. I have emailed the seller with your questions and will double check things with the parcel receiving depot in Blaine- there are a couple that I can use there. I will get back to you as soon as I can with the information. Thanks again, Jeannette 2018-03-26Report a Violation
Response: Thanks for the prompt reply. Understood. Also, just a thought .. depending on your availability, it may be possible to coordinate a direct delivery in Blaine. Basically a vehicle to vehicle delivery/transfer. If a cross dock location currently has not been chosen, no need to worry about the specifics on the delivery end. Most have commercial receiving areas which I can manage. Let me know about the pickup & I'll quote accordingly. Thanks, Luciano - Foothills Express 2018-03-26Report a Violation
Response: Luciano, Here is the reply from the seller: the file card is located in our building in town located on main level no steps large parking lot for truck to pull into piece is roughly 10 feet from parking lot my husband will have guys to assist driver with loading large off street parking lot makes it easy, hope this helps This is the ebay listing, in case you want any more info about the item: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Antique-Oak-45-Drawer-Gaylord-Bros-Inc-Stacking-Oak-Library-Card-Catalog-File/162865375291?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649 The seller has been very helpful and seems easy to work with (has a good rating on EBay) A vehicle to vehicle exchange in Blaine would hopefully work as I have a flexible schedule. Thank you Luciano. Jeannette2018-03-26Not in Violation
Response: Thanks for those details. Yep, that'll work. I can provide Blanket Wrap Service for USD$1,214. Single vehicle transport, door-to-door .. or door-to-vehicle in this case. Once loaded it will not be moved or cross docked while in transit. Once terms are agreeable, I normally enter a bid that is valid for approx 1-2 hrs. Let me know if you'd like a bid entered for your approval. Thanks, Luciano - Foothills Express2018-03-26Report a Violation
Response: Thanks Luciano for the quick reply and the information/ prebid. I don't know your route so I am just wondering if the amount could be lowered at all if you went to another Washington city such as Bellingham, Lynden or ...? (I will be driving from Vancouver BC to pick it up) The Ebay seller has indicated that they aren't in a rush to get this piece out the door so dates can be flexible. My last Uship bid came in at $800 but I appreciate how quick and professionally you respond. Please let me know if there is some way to make this more economical for you. The Canadian dollar is my detriment, but I realize that is my problem alone. Many thanks. Jeannette2018-03-26Report a Violation
Response: I understand it's costly. Rates are predominately based on miles driven. In this case it really doesn't affect the price if delivery is in Blaine, Bellingham, Lynden, Sumas or Seattle. It's 2,000 mi almost anyway it's sliced. Also UShip fees are 15-20% of each offer on our end. Standard brokerage fees but considerable nonetheless. It's an open message board & bidding process. I noticed the previous offer. I cannot speak for how others run their respective businesses or lack thereof. Are they commercially insured or not? etc .. As for the timing, it will not affect the quote on my end. I can reduce the original offer by USD$50 making it $1,164. It's the best offer I can make. Let me know if you'd like a bid entered for your approval. Thanks, Luciano - Foothills Express2018-03-26Report a Violation
Response: Hi Luciano Thank you for your response and the revised bid. I am reflecting on how comfortable I am with the price of this item, once all the costs are factored in. I think my last question to you is about insurance. The price of the item is $1000: would your insurance cover any possible damage or loss on route? Should I be getting additional insurance? Thank you. Jeannette2018-03-26Report a Violation
Response: Understood. I carry Progressive Commercial Cargo insurance. It covers all items up to USD$100,000. No need to purchase additional insurance. It'll be covered. Thanks, Luciano - Foothills Express 2018-03-26Report a Violation
Response: Okay, thank you for letting me know. I am going to think about all the costs for this piece for a few hours. Thank you for all your info. Jeannette2018-03-26Report a Violation
Response: As I mentioned, I understand it's costly. I encourage you to evaluate each offer very closely. Thanks, Luciano - Foothills Express2018-03-26Report a Violation
Response: I'm currently on EST & will not be online for the rest of tonight & a good portion of tomorrow. I'll enter a bid for your approval now. It'll be valid until 7 am Pacific time tomorrow morning. If it's agreeable, please approve accordingly. Thanks, Luciano - Foothills Express2018-03-26Report a Violation
Response: Food for thought when evaluating offers: Foothills Express is a carrier not a broker. This will not be brokered out to a 3rd party. Single vehicle from pickup to delivery. You'll notice on the profile page, 70% of previous Foothills Express customers on UShip have left feedback/reviews. Potential cost savings: 1)No need for additional insurance coverage. Proof of insurance can be emailed upon booking. 2)I can coordinate direct delivery in Blaine, eliminating the cost of the cross dock. Let me know if you have any questions. Response: Thank you Luciano for all your information and time. I appreciate how detailed you have been with everything. If I could have afforded your shipping fee, I would have chosen you for sure. I appreciate that your reviews are very good and that you were flexible about the drop-off. Many thanks again for your time. Jeannette2018-03-27Report a Violation

Question:
2018-03-26
We can ship this piece for a flat rate of $900. This is an all inclusive rate rate including insurance, blanket wrapping, loading & unloading. If this is something you’re interested in. Let me know and we can move forward with booking. John Baystate Express, IncReport a Violation
Response: Hi John Thank you for your message. Just to let you know a little more about the piece that I would like moved. It is comprised of 5 stacking pieces. The EBay seller has given me this info about the pick-up location: "the file card is located in our building in town, located on main level, no steps, large parking lot for truck to pull into, piece is roughly 10 feet from parking lot, my husband will have guys to assist driver with loading, large off street parking lot." I received a lower bid earlier today but the shipper cancelled. When I phoned UShip today to ask about that, they said they would put another message out about my auction so I was hoping to get another lower bid. I would like to see if anything lower comes in soon. Perhaps you could let me know if there is anything I could do to make this more economical for you ie delivery to Bellingham or Lynden or...? Thank you for your time, it is much appreciated. Jeannette 2018-03-26Report a Violation
Response: If you’re able to pick it up closer to Seattle I could drop it down to $7002018-03-27Report a Violation
Response: Thank you for your message. I am just trying to figure out the logistics of picking it up closer to Seattle. I would be driving down from Vancouver, BC so am wondering about coordinating a time and place with the driver to arrange transfer of the shipment. Not sure if that would work for both of us? I will look and see if there are any businesses in that area that receive parcels/ shipments. Thank you, Jeannette2018-03-27Report a Violation
Response: We will be in the Seattle area for several days, so coordinating the delivery shouldn’t be to difficult. If you can make the drive to Seattle we can store it at our facility in Seattle for a few days2018-03-27Report a Violation
Response: Okay, that simplifies things. Would there be a charge for storage? I would try to pick it up ASAP after it arrives. It looks like I would also need to purchase insurance for my item as I don't think yours would cover something costing around $900, correct? Shipping has come in at a higher price than I had expected or hoped so I am trying to do what I can to keep costs down. Thank you, Jeannette 2018-03-27Report a Violation
Response: Once we arrive in Seattle we can store it for up to 4 days. We’ll give you a 48 hour notice before we arrive in Seattle so that’s a total of 6 days to arrange pickup from Seattle.2018-03-27Report a Violation
Response: Okay, that's more than reasonable. And no charge for storage within that time frame, correct? Thank you, Jeannette2018-03-27Report a Violation

Hi Jeannette, if the dimensions are correct on this item, I can haul the item for you. I would be picking up tomorrow and making delivery this weekend if you are still available to meet for vehicle to vehicle transfer in Washington.Report a Violation
Response: Hello and thank you for your message. What price would you be coming in at? I am assuming the dimensions are correct, they are the EBay seller's measurements and their listing is quite detailed so am hoping they are correct. Thank you, Jeannette 2018-03-27Report a Violation
Response: If the pieces can be unstacked easily, I am planning on arranging in the climate controlled back seat of my crew cab pickup if they fit. If the dimensions are accurate, it should fit with padding to protect it. I saw where you originally said you were looking to make this happen at around $750. Is that still your starting zone?2018-03-27Report a Violation
Response: A shipper who is used to shipping antiques has been communicating with me about bringing it to Blaine or giving me the option of picking it up in the Seattle area for less and I am expecting that he would be putting his bid in soon as we have pretty much answered all necessary questions. So I am looking for preferably less than $750 and am also reviewing profiles and feedback on UShip. Thank you.2018-03-27Report a Violation
