At uShip, we\u2019re in the business of more than just shipping\u2014we\u2019re about making an impact in the communities we serve. That\u2019s why, when Texas Health Action and Kind Clinic<\/a> reached out for assistance with a special shipment, we didn\u2019t hesitate to get involved.<\/p>\n

Answering the Call for Help<\/strong><\/h2>\n

In early February, Juan Benitez, Chief Advancement Officer at Texas Health Action, contacted us with a special request. Kind Clinic, a leader in providing sexual health services to LGBTQIA+ communities and individuals impacted by HIV, was expanding its reach to Dallas with a new mobile testing van.<\/p>\n

The van, generously donated by the Nomi Charitable Foundation<\/a>, would allow Kind Clinic to bring critical services like HIV testing, PrEP and PEP access, and STI treatment to more people in need. First, though, they needed a way to get it from Austin to Dallas.<\/p>\n

Knowing our history of supporting Kind Clinic, Juan reached out to see if we could help.<\/p>\n

For us, the answer was an easy yes.<\/p>\n

Making It Happen<\/strong><\/h2>\n

We called in the expertise of uShip Logistics<\/a> to find the right transporter for the job. That is where Richard from Primelight Transport stepped in. As a trusted carrier in our network, he was more than happy to take on the mission.<\/p>\n

On moving day, Richard picked up the 2021 Freightliner Sprinter 2500 Cargo Van in Austin. By that evening, it had safely arrived in Dallas<\/a>, ready to hit the road and start serving the community. Thanks to the smooth transport process, Kind Clinic was able to put the van to work immediately, helping more people access life-saving healthcare without delay.<\/p>\n
