Heather Hoover-Salomon, uShip\u2019s longest-tenured employee, has been named uShip\u2019s Chief Executive Officer.<\/p>\n
Starting as a public relations and marketing intern in Fall 2005, Heather has served in key managerial and leadership roles over the last 18 years, including Chief Operating Officer (2019-2022) and interim CEO since January 2023.<\/p>\n
As COO, she oversaw human resources, recruiting, facilities, customer operations, legal, risk and payments, product and design, and analytics.<\/p>\n
Heather is taking on uShip\u2019s CEO role at an exciting time for the company, which exited 2022 profitable despite macroeconomic challenges that included inflationary pressures, geopolitical strife, and record-high fuel costs.<\/p>\n
In this new role, Hoover-Salomon is tasked with maintaining and accelerating the company\u2019s growth notwithstanding a difficult economy, adapting to the shifting needs of its customers, and navigating a supply-chain industry that is still struggling to recover from the tumult of the past few years.<\/p>\n
