How to Transport Your Pet

uShip makes transporting your pet easy as!

1 | Create a Listing on uShip

The more detailed your listing is, the better. You want transportation companies that are best suited for your needs to contact you, so providing as many details as possible will ensure they know exactly what is required of them. Make sure to include your desired budget and time frame. Other details that need to be provided are your pet’s name, breed, age and any special needs they may have (such as medication). If you need your transporter to provide a kennel or crate, be sure to mention this in your listing as well.

2 | Choose the Best Pet Transportation Service

Now that you’ve created your listing, pet transportation providers will begin contacting you with quotes as they compete for your business. Before choosing the cheapest option, make sure you read the transporter’s profile to ensure they are the best fit for the job. Their profile will include customer feedback, transportation history, safety records and insurance policies. You should also ask them any questions you may have so you can confidently choose the best transporter for your precious cargo.

3 | Transport & Delivery

Once you’ve found the best transporter for your pet, it’s time to organise transport and delivery. Be sure to clearly communicate the details for pick up and delivery, including the time and locations. If there is a third party involved, provide those details before departure to ensure a smooth delivery. It’s crucial to have your payment ready by the agreed upon time as well. We also recommend going through the pet transport checklist (below) before your pet departs on their journey to ensure you haven't forgotten anything.
