If you are shipping LTL (less than a full truckload), be sure you know the route your goods will travel, where and when they will switch trucks, and how long it will take to reach the desired destination. Make sure your Service Provider gives you a tracking number, or at the very least a cell phone number, so that you can check in on your items. Before deciding on a Service Provider, know their policies in case a shipment is lost or damaged. Check with your insurance company to make sure you don't need additional coverage.
