Response: shadow transport is bidding to load a semi truck with trailor and haul this and other trucks at .87 cents per mile 1 way. loaded down the best you can get on a deisel truck w/ trailor is 5 miles per gal, fuel for the truck is still over $4.00 per gal just to drive oneway to laredo tx and not to think about a return trip to where'ever , its 350+ miles to laredo, do the math, 87 cents going oneway at 5 miles per gal a full day and you might make $75.00 after fuel and no oil or food or normal expenses, then lay over looking for return loads? dont know about others but for 75 bucks I will wait at a dock for 2 hours and then check the tires and leave, just wondering what type of Rig shadow Transports with??? hydrogen? good luck my laredo freind, hope he wont have a blow out cause he will need $300 for a good recap tire and more for road service $$$ (9/3/2008)

Response: hi old friend, hope he didnt mess you up on getting the 3 trucks to you or worse get them stranded on the road in the middle of no where and impounded , DPS has little tolerance to abandon trucks on the road. car's maybe 2 days before impound but not on trucks it's just hour's then you can add on 500-$900.00 per each just for the tow and impound fee's. we were worried for you, no one needs that trouble when I have a blow out on the hiway the DPS Troopers wait near by to make sure I dont have problems and leave it there, by the 2nd hour 'big wreckers start to show up and wait like vultures hoping we cannot fix it so they can make the money on the Impound, They charge like hell. so are you ok on these three transports? did he get any of them to you safe? later L&G.
