Question: Do you realy want to move this boat? Are you willing to pay the price that it takes to move your boat? (4/15/2008)

Response: Yes I really want to move the boat. I am willing to pay the price I have submitted. How much is "the price"? (4/15/2008)

Response: I am scheduled to take a sail boat to Washington state end of this month if buyers survey goes well, it is a lighter boat, longer mast. I can give you the same price he has. Let me know. (4/15/2008)

Response: I am in Oregon and I have some work to do on the boat to get it down to 12'6". What is the maximum height I can have on the boat? I didn't see the bid on the other boat. What is it going to cost? (4/15/2008)

Response: If you can get the height, bottom of keel to the highest point on the vessel to 12'6" we will be fine for transportation. (4/15/2008)

Response: it is higher now with the pilot house. Is it still shipable at a height at 14 feet? (4/18/2008)

Response: Hi, Looking at the picture of your boat, the pilot house will have to come off. Max heigth from bottom of keel (lowest point) to the highest point 12'6" ... then we can have a legal or a little over height load. Can not do 14', not advised for anyone. (4/18/2008)

Response: I will have to cut off the pilot house before shipping (4/22/2008)

Response: I am now booked thru the middle of May, if I am still in the running, it will be the latter part of May before I could do your move. Thanks for your consideration. (4/27/2008)

Response: please rebid! (7/14/2009)

Question: OK beemerbear, I'm on the east coast on my way to CT and your on the west coast, bedtime for me. Just leave any of your additional questions in this part of uship or there is a place in the bid that we can talk back and forth. Some times that is easier. OK with you?? (4/16/2008)

Response: I'm hoping fuel prices drop they seem to be at an all time high (4/18/2008)

Response: I just off loaded in CT today and have found fuel price are up to $4.439 in PA and NY. I sure wish they would stabilize so we could do long term bids. The way it is predicted, we will see $4.75 to $5.00 by end of summer. That's going to drive transportation cost out of site. If you are going to ship your boat, I would suggest the sooner the better. At present fuel increases, when my bid expires I will have to rebid at a higher rate. Thank you for your consideration... Regards (4/18/2008)

Response: Thank you for your bid. I am thinking about it and have to arrage to have the pilot house off. (4/22/2008)

Response: beemerbear, Do you still plan to move your boat?? (6/6/2008)

Response: Yes I am ready to move the boat by the end of august. Please submit a new bid (7/14/2009)

Question: Hi shipper...My bid is still good for your transport. What are your plans? John(houseofboats) (4/28/2008)

Response: Price is too high buy no one is lower so going to leave it up. (4/28/2008)

Response: Thank you for asking me to bid on shipping your boat...We have no plans to be in the NE as of now...but that could change and I will keep you in mind if we do get up that way. Thanks, John House of Boats (7/15/2009)

Response: Thank you for much for writing and letting me know. (7/15/2009)

Question: Hi, My bid is is, I would like you to know, we are not brokers or Freight forwarders. We move these boats ourselves, I own the company and it would be me who moves your boat if you accpet our bid! As a carrier, we take full responsibility for your vessel. Even though the boat may be prepared for shipment by someone else, we go through her to make sure it has been done correctly and make all nessesary corrections! We may be a little hire, but, we are worth every penny! (7/14/2009)

Response: Thank you for explaining your service. (7/14/2009)

Question: So what do you think, can we put this together? (7/14/2009)

Response: Not yet my ad has only been in a couple of days. I want more bids to try and lower the price. (7/14/2009)

Response: Thanks for the responce! We are delivering to Novia Scotia this week. I would have liked to pick yours up on the way out, I have a boat in Washington I need to pick up next, so, your boat would have worked well. No worries, there are no shortages of boats going that way, I will find something else. Thanks for your consideration! Good Luck to you ! (7/15/2009)

Response: I wish I could do it now. I have to remove the pilot house for shipping and I am 3000 miles away. The pilot house puts the boat over 14 feet. I will not be able to get back until middle of August. (7/15/2009)

Response: Would it help you if we removed the pilot house? We have always specilized in the removal and reinstalation of bridges, towers and all related componets. I am sure it is a straight forward job! It may even save you money for us to do it, instead of coming out yourself! Let me know! (7/15/2009)

Response: It is fiber glassed in place and needs to be cut with a Sawsall and there are electronics in one stainless conduit which need to be preserved. I would love it if you could do it. Other than that and it has a plastic cover with conduit frame which need to be removed. No cutting needed for the cover frame (7/15/2009)

Response: We have removed a number of ridges by means of cutting. I do these jobs myself! I asure you it would be done correctly, the only issue is, pricing that part of the job. Without knowing all the details, it is nearlly Impossible. A few months ago we shipped a 34' Mainship that required the bridge to be cut off. It took 3 hours to remove the electronics, 4 hours to cut the top and about an hour to prep the top for transport. It cost him $850.00 for this job. Would this be within your price range? (7/15/2009)

Response: This is not a bridge it is a pilot house which you can see in the picture of the boat in the water. I would expect it to be about a five hundred dollar job since it is much smaller than a flying bridge. My 80 year old dad lives in the area and would supervise
Boat yard where boat is does not have a crane big enough to lift boat so boat needs to moved by their hydraulic lift trailer to another location 5 miles away and then lifted with Travel lift onto your trailer. I have called everyone concerned and I lined up the lifting.
When would you do it? (7/15/2009)

Response: I beleive your $500.00 range is correct! I will be delivering in Cnada on Tuesday, I should be ale to load by Thursday, and deliver by the following Tuesday! (7/15/2009)

Response: I am looking for an $8500 bid to move the boat. If you remove the pilot house and plastic cover I will accept the bid of $9000 to move my boat. That would mean total cost would be $9000 with no extra expenses (7/15/2009)

Response: Ok, I will agree to that! You can accept and the contract will read as you and I have agrred here! (7/15/2009)

Response: OK I will agree to the shipment on.
I have a lot of arranging to do regarding the shipment. If you are not there on 23rd it can not be done that week. (7/15/2009)

Response: What happens on the 23rd? (7/15/2009)

Response: Hi -- i thought i was confused but you said you would be able to load me on Thursdsay ( I will be delivering in Cnada on Tuesday, I should be ale to load by Thursday, and deliver by the following Tuesday!") Thursday would be July 23rd. Is that the day you are going to pick the boat up in Kittery? (7/15/2009)

Question: Sorry to see you decline our bid, we have hauled boats for 55 years, we are new to U-ship because of the slowdown in the economy. You need to what out for Brokers and trucking co that don't have proper insurance or companies that are not full time boat haulers. To get more info on our company just click on our DOT# on our profile to get our safety rating. (7/15/2009)

Response: I have 4 bids lower buy almost one thousand dollars and you only 2 feed backs. I would like to see a lower price. (7/15/2009)

Response: Please read the other feedback and profiles of companies, some have bad feedback and others don't haul sailboats. We haul new sailboats for Catalina,Hunter,Beneteau and Island Packet, and new power boats for Sea Ray,Meridian,Silverton,Boston Whaler,Carver and Cruisers Inc. Also we have "All Risk Cargo Insurance" to cover the value of your boat, some carriers have "Named Peril" policy which don't cover all types of damage. To haul your boat legally from ME to OR with proper permits it will cost $9,950. Thanks and good luck!! (7/15/2009)

Response: Thanks for the info (7/15/2009)

Question: So, do we have a deal? (7/15/2009)

Response: Yes we do if you will remove pilot house. Will you remove the cover and pilot house for $9000. I will commit and will need proof of insurance for content and a contract for total price of $9000 (7/15/2009)

Response: Hi, my bid states the Intentions of my offer in the details. Upon acceptance, I will e-mail or fax you a contract, and my Insurance carrier will send you proof of Insurance directly! (7/15/2009)

Response: Thank You. (7/15/2009)
