Question: Is the trailer road worthy, do you need any permits or have them?
I can move your boat July 12th for you, but would not go into canada. To many customs and paperwork. Can move for you at 1000.00.
If that will work for you let me know asap to put in bid and set load accordingly. Thank you in advance (6/29/2007)

Response: Trailer is NEW!
Permits you have to obtain, because they ask for serial # and insurance of the taw vehicle. This permits can be obtained on the net for about $200 and I will pay them, but at my target.
12th is OK! (6/29/2007)

Response: I have a Ford F-250 460 engine. If this is good for you I can tow. What is the web site you can get permits? So you would pay for permits + 950.00 correct? (6/30/2007)

Response: I have to know if you are taking on yourself to take the permits?
I will pay them on top of agreed fee. (7/1/2007)

Response: I will contact them tomorrow to see about the permits. Gives me Phone numbers for each state. I will get back to you tomorrow. Thank you

Response: This is answer from another shipper in regards to permits for a boat of 9' beam:
"Technically Yes, Do need permits. Transporters Get them for a 9ft beam, 95% of the time NO. When you Have 10+ beam, yes it would be wise to get a permit. Any way its not to expensive each state has there own fee, 10.00-40.00 depending on what state."
This thing is very cumbersome communication so you do this…I am at Fourhundredsixteen Sevenhundredfortytwo Ninethousandeighthundredfiftythree

Response: Most states have their own laws have to call each one. Then you also have to have Trip and Fuel fee permits as well they told me.
So still working on getting a price. (7/2/2007)

Response: All this is taking too long.
My cut-off day is Friday 3pm.
Most people are telling me that nobody ask dis questions on the road. These are only girls on the phone who are follofing some rools.
Can you do it by Friday or not? (7/2/2007)

Response: Yes, I do follow rules for towing and if you want it this friday, which you had said the 12th. It would take at least a few days or more for permits for all states to clear. So I am sorry I will not be able to do this by Friday. (7/2/2007)

Question: Can even do this the weekend of the 7th if that is better date for you. Let me know. (6/29/2007)

Response: It has to go to the port of Newark, and the port is open only on working days.
It will need wide load permits (over 8.5') for Mi, Oh, Pen, and NJ. (6/29/2007)
