Start with 2 pallet loads - picked up at long beach costco and delivered to the port for shipping to New Zealand(Auckland).Pallet(s) will be loaded and wrapped. Costco will load on your truck with their forklift. You can bid on delivery to the ship only or bid on shipping to port of Auckland (prefered). All bids should be complete and detailed showing all charges by you and any related charges broken down - my goal is to eliminate surprises - do not assume that I know anything - or that I know what you consider "standard practice". Questions for this shipment: 

Question: at Costco how will this be handled? By driver? by Costco employees? Will everything be ready to ship when we would arrive? Do you want destination port or door delivery? (6/25/2008)
Response: The order will be prepaid and the shipper will be supplied an authorization/pickup number to "claim it". The pallet(s) will be loaded and pallet wrapped. Costco will load them on your truck with their forklift. You arrange for it to be delivered to the destination port. I arrange pickup there. I need to know your total charges and the itemization of those charges and any charges that will be against the shipment waiting for me to pay - I want to eliminate surprises. I am looking for a cheap/free source of plastic pallets for these shipments. In New Zealand wood pallets occasionaly undergo fumigation and quarantine for a week. (6/25/2008)

Question: I can handle this for you but I need more info. Is this a commercial or personal effects shipment. If commercial willyou supply a invoice and packing list. New Zealand has commodities that are not allowed in the country, have you checked that out? I can supply at a nominal cost heat treated wood pallets or plastic pallets but not for free. I can give you the cost of devanning the pallets at the port but customs clearance in N.Z. would be up to you. Is each pallet shrinkwrapped? american worldwide freight services (6/25/2008)
