Question: Shipper: A quick question please. When does it have to be delivered? If it is available and ready, I could pick it up 02/18/07 (Sunday). It would be securely transported in an enclosed car carrier. I'm a US DOT compliant motor carrier so my commercial cargo insurance is included in the $800 price. Delivery would be 7-10 days after loading. The vehicle would remain inside the trailer parked in my secure, fenced, 24/7 well lighted compound in Missouri. Please respond and let me know if this arrangement would be acceptable. If pick up could wait a week I can load and transport it directly to you for the same price. Response: Don, your feedback is very nice. You can pick up tomorrow that would be fine. The car will be shipped the the entire way enclosed and spending 0 time outside. Further, my understanding is that the car will arrive by the 28th of Feb. and that the enclosed "door to door" service, all inclusive, will cost no more than $800.00. Question: Mike....I apologize, I'm located in Missouri and it has been snowing here all night. The weather forecast missed again. I just checked with MoDOT on road conditions in between and I'm concerned that I wouldn't be able to complete the pick up tomorrow safely. In answer to your questions, my intention was to load it tomorrow and return it to my compound. It would have stayed inside the trailer until I delivered it to you later next week. My bids are all inclusive, insurance and all other related costs. No hidden costs or surprises. Again, I sincerely apologize but as it looks at the moment I couldn't risk the weather and road conditions and guarantee I could live up to my agreement. I'm loaded on my open car hauler for deliveries to the east coast and I have to depart Monday. It would be later in the week before I could do it and you need it picked up immediately. Response: Don, thanks no worries! You had mentioned in your prior e-mailthat a week delay in picking up would work for you too so I called the "seller" to check and see if it would be ok with him and he stated he will be out of town from the 21st to the 25th and went on to say picking the the car up when he gets back would be fine. Question: Mike...I'm sure I can make the dates work on this end. I'll need to check my schedule and see exactly how quickly I can pick it up after 02-25-07. I apologize I couldn't load it tomorrow. These waves of winter storms have played havoc with my scheduling and I'm a little backed up at the moment. I do have some deliveries to Virginia that I really need to get completed next week. From there I run out to New Mexico and then back to Missouri. If the weather will cooperate I should be back home next week end. Please give me a little time to plan everything out, but I'm confident we can get it to you shortly after the 25th. It will likely be this evening before I can give you firm dates.
