Question: Hello, I was wondering if you could verify the weight estimate for me. Thanks, Gene (12/1/2007)

Response: I wish I knew, it's about 100 - 12x12 tiles and another 100- 18x14 tiles. They were taken down from an old kitchen. A few longer trim pieces. The seller estimated 1200lb.
They are vitrolite tiles, glass tiles made in the 30's. Today it would be like marble tiles. (12/1/2007)

Response: Ok, I understand, your add states that the total weight is 240,000 pounds wich is a drastic differance. I will consider bidding on this load if I can get a follow-on load, would you have a preffered timeframe of pickup and delivery and will these be boxed in any sort of way, also do you have a price in mind that would be suitable to you to have these transported? Thanks, Gene (12/1/2007)

Question: Will these tiles be palletized? Will there be help loading/unloading? Do you require enclosed transport or is an open trailer ok? Do you have a target price for this load? When do you want it shipped? Thanks, Chris DTT (12/1/2007)

Response: No, the tiles are loose, around 200. They are 12x12 and 18x14. they will need to be loaded by you and some sort of paper put between them. (12/2/2007)

Question: How these tile 1in. thick or are they like abrick in thickness? Also what is your time frame and target price? Would they all fit into a cargo van? (12/2/2007)

Response: Like floor tiles. 12x12 and 18x12
ASAP and around $400.oo (12/2/2007)

Response: Can these be picked up Mon. and delivered Tues morning. Mike (12/2/2007)

Response: yes (12/2/2007)

Response: Just so we are not confusing ourselves these will fit into a cargo van? If so I'llplace a formal bid that will cover your target price. Mike P.S. (If bid is accepted I need to pick up in the morning) (12/2/2007)

Question: hey there. Would these be availaibe for pickup this wednesday dec 5th. Will coming through with 28 foot gooseneck heading to VA. Will be interested for bid of 450.00 if interested. If interested let me know and i will bid quickly. I have something else on the hook pending that would kill this deal. But for now looks good from me. thanks (12/2/2007)

Response: you realize these are loose tiles, they would need to loaded and some sort of paper put between tiles, etc.
(12/3/2007)

Response: understood! I recently moved 1000 of these as well. I also understand they are not palletized. Wanna do this? (12/3/2007)

Response: we'll take it for 450.00, but tell me how you plan on moving it without breaking the tiles. There are some long trim pieces, just a few. I, also, need to contact the homeowner to see if Wednesday is ok.
(12/3/2007)

Response: It is my experience as a mover of many years it is best to transport your tiles on end/edge instead of laying flat. The greatest strength is on ede of tiles. I would pad trailer flooring with blanket pad. Then stand tile on edge across the width of my 6X12 foot trailer. Decking board would be used to keep shifting inside the trailer. Like i said i have done this before recently. Thanks (12/3/2007)

Response: I spoke with the homeowner and Wednesday is ok.
there are some trim pieces, long that I would not want to break, door frame pieces.
right now the tiles are in the basement, she'd bring up with your help?
If ok, let's do this. (12/3/2007)

Response: I will have a 12 foot long trailer. Are the trim pieces under 12 foot i hope? Thanks (12/3/2007)

Response: yes, door size, less than 6 ft I think. (12/3/2007)
