Questions for this shipment:
Question:
your move is over 1000 miles would like to know what kind of budget you have for this move? have a 20 ft trailer this would fit on thanks wilie (4/28/2006)
Response:
my budget is limited. do you have bid? Hope it's what I can afford. Thank you. S (4/28/2006)
Question:
Why can't this be pulled down? Unsafe? I'm heading to N.O. LA for a pick up soon. (5/15/2006)
Response:
It can be pulled down if I had good tires on it.....last summer I had the bearings greased and repacked but I didn't get new tires for it....They are quite old and one of them doesn't hold air...since I am down here now and can't get to it to have the tires put on I am stuck with having it shipped on a flat bed....any suggestions? (5/15/2006)
Question:
If you pay for the tires and the install, I can take it to a tire place and have tires placed on it. My rate would be $750 for hauling it to tire place and to you! let me know! (5/16/2006)
Response:
that's a wonderful offer but still too high for my budget....wish I could accept. Sorry, thanks anyway. (5/16/2006)
Question:
What is your budget? (5/16/2006)
Question:
Asuming that lights work and it has plates I can do it for $450 plus you paying for good used tires that I'll get and have put on for you. We would have to take care of all this by Thursday, 5-18-06. As I have to be in N.O. this weekend. Tires should be less than $100 (5/16/2006)
Response:
This might work...what company are you with, or do you have any information to offer me? (5/16/2006)
Question:
I'm not with any shipping Co. I have a son working in N.O. who is comming home for the summer and has a 35 ft. 5th wheel that has to come home also. I've been to N.O. 3 times sence Katrina. Having hauled the 5th wheel down last Oct. I'm 50 yrs old and am driving a 1998 GMC diesel pickup. Would like to leave Thursday asap after getting your tires and checking hookup. I'll only take it if I feel it would be a safe trip. Hope to arive Friday afternoon or early evening. Hope to here from you soon so I can make arangements. I am comming from Grant MI. Earlier I know earlier I can get to tires. Also tires that are on it get to Grant aprox. 30 miles. It would help to pick it up Wed P.M. (5/16/2006)
Response:
not sure that the driver's side tire will make it that far...there are a few tire companies on Apple Ave. and the trailer is just off Apple in Muskegon. Your best bet might be to take it local before you go too far...what form of payment do you accept? My preference is to pay you when you arrive down here...if that is okay then I will accept your offer. Thanks! (5/16/2006)
Question:
Good, Apple Ave is good. Prefer cash at delivery. Will we exchange contact numbers when you accept? I'll check back in a few hours. Thanks (5/17/2006)
Response:
Thanks, we will be in touch. Do you want me to pay for the tires over the phone once you get the trailer to the shop? Also, please keep in mind that this trailer should not be towed more than 55-60 MPH...even though I had the frame inspected last summer, those old trailers were built when the speed limits were less....another question: Would you consider a passenger back to Michigan? Our 19 year is here to visit but must get back to Mich. by 25th...Would help offset your gas expense... (5/17/2006)
