Question: Are you able to opt for terminal to terminal service? Or could you ship from and to commercial addresses? We could offer much lower priced options if residential pickup and delivery was eliminated from the picture. (3/28/2007)
Response: Yes, I buy and sale cars and engines, transmissions etc. all over the eastern half of the US. Shipping cost is very important. If it's too high my buyer will just buy closer home. If you have a terminal in this area i can drop it off there, and usually have the buyer pick it up at a commercial address near him. Thanks. Roy (3/28/2007)

Response: Hi, The best price I've found yet is 192.82, but I really need to find A much lower price to make the engine worth buying to my customer. I'd like to find A carrier to haul my engines and transmissions cheap enough to accomplish that,otherwise I'm restricted to my local area. Thanks. Roy (3/29/2007)
Question: What is working against you is the residential pickup and delivery. We deal with several outboard dealers who LOVE our pricing because it allows them to make more on the sale portion of the deal. Try making a deal with a commercial location in your area (maybe a auto repair place or something) to eliminate the residential pickup portion. Considering your shipping 550# I doubt you will be able to get any lower than the price you mentioned on a consistent basis. We have over 500 ebay engine and auto parts sellers as our customers and they tell us that since the buyer is paying theshipping they are told the shipping cost is quite reasonable considering other sellers charge upwards of over 1000 to ship engines on ebay. We would be happy to help you, but can't offer much more of a discount than we already have. Response: Hi, Thanks for the advice. I arranged for the engine to be delivered to A business with A tow motor. It'll be shipped from my garage, I don't have A tow motor, but I can take it to A drop off point or terminal if you have one in this area. Thanks again. Roy (3/30/2007)
