Questions for this shipment:
Question:
Well its your lucky day! I live near SLC, and I will have my enclosed trailer in Vancover around the 1-2 July. I have moved several pianos, and tickle the ivories myself. What have you budgeted out for this delicate move? Hopefully we can help each other out. But my equipment, expertise and profile do come at a price, though I will try to help out best I can. The price of deisel is what will be a big factor. Let me know your thoughts and concerns. Have a great weekend! (6/24/2006)
Response:
We have another bid for around $1,000 and we like your time frame. Please let us know how much your bid is and what type of reassurance/insurance is included in your offer. Our destinations is Kaysville UT and we will be arriving July 9. (6/24/2006)
Question:
I dont see the other bid, unless you have it off this web site. But I could match that price, and I am not 100 % sure when I will get back to Utah, somewhere around 4-5. If you are not here by then, I could leave the pianos inside my trailer till the 8th, but I do have to leave again to Cal on the 9th. Hope those dates will work out for you. The insurance is based on the value. It is aprox. .85 cents per $100.00 Let me know what you think. Thanks! (6/24/2006)
Response:
Our bid was from another company, but the time frame was not as ideal. We need to confirm the following items: 1. You will be loading and unloading the pianos. 2. How will the pianos be protected? 3. How do you prefer payment for this service? 4. We would like to have insurance for $20,000 in coverage. Please respond or call to discuss at [phone number removed] (6/24/2006)
Question:
Since you are new to Uship, I will help you along here.Once I submit my bid, and you accept it, our phone #'s are released to each other. Since you have already posted it here, you will probably get a email from Uship letting you know of the issue. So, having said that, here are your answers. I have a custom holding system to secure the pianos, and I will be using a combo of foam padding and moving blankets. I will be loading/unloading, but will need some muscle to help out on both ends. I will get a direct quote tommorow, from the carrier for the twenty grand of coverage. If you have any other questions meanwhile, just email me back, and we'll get this all worked out! Look forward to helping you with this delicate move! (6/25/2006)
Response:
Thanks for the help. Please submit your bid and we will approve. (6/25/2006)
Question:
Before I submit my bid, I need you to agree to cover the uship fee us drivers get charged. It is 7.9% of the quote. If you are okay with that, I will submit my bid this evening so we can co-ordinate things. Thanks for your consideration, Oh, I forgot to ask if you prefer to have the grand disassembled to ship, or left alone? (6/26/2006)
Response:
It will need to be disassembled to get it out of the house and then into the new one. Do we need to hire a piano mover to come and help, or do you know how etc.? We will pay the uship fee, but I'm not sure we will be able to be there for the unload - since you are from there, do you have someone to help with that end? (6/26/2006)
Question:
Yes, I can get the help on the Utah end, and if you can have it professionally dismanteled, that would be best. I have only assisted in taking one apart, and I forget the proper sequence. Other than that, we should be good to go. I will submit mt bid here shortly. Thanks and look forward to meeting you and delivering your baby. And I am not even a doctor! (6/26/2006)
