Question: Hello, How big a rush are you in? We haul boats all over the country and have a boat to Ct. this spring. We are located 45 minutes from Hugo and could pick them up and store them until the other boat is ready to go. These are light but very bulky and we would put them on our semi trailers. thank you ed doyle boatinmn (12/12/2007)

Response: Ed:
I am not in a rush with these but would be pleased if they were picked up and stored. I have actually been waiting since Aug 10 for these items. Another not so professional shipper picked up my pair of 55 gallon epoxy resin drums and is constnatly promisng to pick up the floats "next trip". I beleive that you could stack these itmes if they were padded well or ship them on the deck of a monohull.
Your plan sounds good to me, what about the cost? Thanks Danny (12/13/2007)

Question: Hello!
I will be leaving WI., not to far from Hugo, the first week of Jan. and going out to CT. I pull a 44' enclosed trailer, so your floats would not be exposed to road salt, or winter weather. If you are interested please let me know. I will be in CT. between the 5th, and 8th of Jan. Thanks. Rick-RLS51 (12/19/2007)

Response: This schedule would work fine for me. I do not need quick delivery but am not adverse to it either.
Thanks
Danny

Response: Hello again. I just placed a bid on your shipment, but I'm not sure it went through. I will watch to make sure, and re-bid if necessary. Thanks, Rick-RLS51 (12/20/2007)

Response: Rick:
Sounds very interesting. I have just checked with the person that I bought these from, Kurt, and has possession of these to make sure that he is available on the the 2nd. Kurt says he has to work on the second but would be free all day and prefer the first. He says exact location is 10 miles east of Hugo in Marine on St. Croix. (just wanted to give a more accurate disclosure)
Rick, would you consider performing this job for $750? I do have a little sticker shock since the less than perfect vender who was doing this job already took a little over $500 to get me a pair of 55 gallon drums from the same location and his total bid was $1000. If you would than I would gladly accept your bid.
Thanks
Danny

Response: Hi Danny! I will haul your floats for $750.00 if you are firm on that amount, but, if you could see going to $800.00 I would appreciate it. uShip will get about $100.00+- of the total bid which will leave me with about $700.00, and I don't have to tell you what the tolls add up to for 5-axels on my truck and trailer. Everybody has to get a piece of the pie, as you well know. As far as picking up from Kurt, I really prefer not to leave on New Years day, but will work around his work schedule. I could pick up Tues. or Wed. evening if that works for him. There is one other possibility, and that would be for me to pick them up this Sunday, late afternoon or evening. I will be in the Mpls./St.Paul area for a family Christmas get together. Just let me know if any of these other options might work. Let me know your thoughts on all this. As I said I would like to haul for you,and I also want you to be comfortable with this deal as well. So, let me know and I will submit a new bid. Thanks, Rick (12/21/2007)

Response: Rick:
OK sounds good to me. You submitt a new bid for $800 and I will accept. I want you to talk to Kurt about the delivery too. You should have his phone number as soon as possible so that you can speak about the pick up. I spoke to him this am and he told me about the floats located a couple hundred yards down a drive without a turn around. If after speaking to him you are uncomfortable then I will understand and we can go our separate ways, I do not know the mechanics of this via Uship, but we should be able to sort this out, again, if you are not comfortable.
Personally I would love to see these floats transported safely in good hands and to finally have them safe here so that I know I actually have them in hand and will not have to recreate the work it takes to produce a pair of these.
Thanks
Danny
