Questions for this shipment:
Question:
Hello, this is William Donohoe from The Shipping Shack, Inc. We have submitted a quote for your shipment. See "View Bid Details" for information, mahalo (6/11/2008)
Response:
im not sure on the wieght and its just for the tool box. i have what i would call a small recording studio and a large tool box filled with tools to move. it doesnt have to be to the destination immediately and im trying to find the cheapest route. im in process of buying a home and dont have an address there yet. i would need everything picked up from my house and packed in a container and then shipped to the address qhen i get it. i need this done around the first week of august. what i have exactly is 4 guitars, 3 large speaker cabinets, (2) 2'x2' racks filled with equipment, 27" tv, various boxes of cds and clothes, a full size bed matress, a couple stools, 2 surfboards, and some other miscellaneous items. i think it would all fit into 10'x5' trailer just so you have a better estimate of what i have. thanks (6/11/2008)
Response:
Hello, this is William Donohoe from The Shipping Shack, Inc. Thanks for writing back. I was just getting ready to leave work when I saw that you had written. We can assist you. We can store your items until you have a definite address there Port Saint Lucie, Florida. Will need to know the total dimensions of your items if available (L x W x H) if possible plus your best guest of estimated weight so that we can submit a quote here on U-Ship. Need to know if all of your items will be boxed. If not we can build a crate to accommodate your shipment if needed. Let us know. I am leaving for home now. I will check my email in the morning to see if you have replied, mahalo. (6/11/2008)
Response:
i think it would be easier to put in a crate, everything will be boxed or in sometype of container, but i have a lot of little boxes. my tool box is the heaviest. alot of my gear is enclosed in wooden racks but the biggest thing i have is my 9'longboard or my full size mattress. the longboard i can take on the if necessary. ive seen the shipping crates they use for moving and i think that one of those would be able to handle eveything. those crates look to be about 5'x5'x8' or something like that. a rough weight guess for everything would probably 2500lbs just to play it safe. im probably not helping a lot here... how long would it take to ship? (6/12/2008)
Response:
Hello, this is William Donohoe from The Shipping Shack, Inc. Thanks for writing back. I will work on your quote later today. I have to go work on a couple of shipments right now, mahalo. (6/12/2008)
Question:
Hello, this is William Donohoe from The Shipping Shack, Inc. I have resubmitted a correct quote. The 1st quote was entered incorrectly. It was for another listing except my apology for the error, mahalo. (6/14/2008)
Question:
Hello, this is William Donohoe from The Shipping Shack, Inc. Seeing if you still need assistance with your shipment, mahalo. (6/21/2008)
Response:
yes i do, im trying to get some other quotes. i also have a 1990 thunderbird sc to ship. can everything get packed together in a container or do i have to ship them seperate? how is payment? do i pay everything up front or do i pay a certain amount now and the rest upon delivery/ pickup? (6/21/2008)
Response:
Hello, this is William Donohoe from The Shipping Shack, Inc. Thanks for your reply. A container would be more expensive. Payment would need to be in full prior to shipment leaving island. This is our policy. Nothing personal but I have let shipments go without full payment received before. After 2 years, I am still waiting of rest of payment. I lost a few thousand this way, sorry, mahalo. (6/22/2008)
Question:
Hello, this is William Donohoe from The Shipping Shack, Inc. We have submitted a quote for shipment. This is port-to-door only with delivery being "curb side only." See "View Bid Detail" for information, mahalo. (7/20/2008)
Question:

Response:
the move is from waipahu, hi to port saint lucie, fl (7/22/2008)
Question:
Hello, this is William Donohoe from The Shipping Shack, Inc. Seeing if you still need assistance with your shipment, mahalo. (8/25/2008)
Response:
yes i do, im working on gertting the money together. if you can do a half now half on delivery then im ready. otherwise i will have to wait about two weeks i think. (8/26/2008)
Response:
Hello, this is William Donohoe from The Shipping Shack, Inc. Thanks for your reply. We can accept half now if that will help. You will have to accept our quote first though in order for us to have each other's contact information to make a payment. Let us know, mahalo. (8/28/2008)
Question:
Hello, this is William Donohoe from The Shipping Shack, Inc. Seeing if you still need assistance with your shipment, mahalo. (9/6/2008)
Question:
(cont'd) Dimensional weight is calculated by adding 1 inch to the length, width and height then multiplying all 3 together. Then divide it by 194. Which ever is the greatest the actual weight or the dimensional weight for each pallet and/or crate is used then. Let us know if you have any questions and/or you decide what to do. We can accomodate to your needs, mahalo. (9/7/2008)

Hello, this is William Donohoe from The Shipping Shack, Inc. Seeing if you still need assistance with your shipment, mahalo. (9/13/2008)
Question:
Are you still looking to ship our stuff to Fla? If so can you give me a estimated total size of your items. I basically need a estimate on how many cubic feet you have. american worldwide frt svcs (10/31/2008)
Response:
yes im still looking, i would say i have around 200 cu. ft. i think it would all fit in a crate 10'x4'x5' (10/31/2008)
Response:
Okay I'll compute based on that over all dimensions but I recommend you put it in two crates as one that size would be too big for a standard liftgate truck at destination unless you are picking it up from my dock. Shall I bid based on roughly 1800 lbs and we can adjust up or down if you accept my bid? american worldwide freight services (10/31/2008)
Response:
2 crates should be fine. i only have one relatively large and heavy item, everything else should easily be stackable. (11/1/2008)
Question:
Hello, this is William Donohoe from The Shipping Shack, Inc. We are resubmitting our quote, mahalo. (10/31/2008)
Question:
Hello, this is William Donohoe from The Shipping Shack, Inc. You have a crate listed by 120 48 x 60. A crate of this size can not be picked and/or delivered to a residence do to you will need a heavy duty fork lift with extra long tongues. Let us know if can use smaller crates, mahalo. (10/31/2008)
Response:
seperate crates can be used. the only thing that is really large and heavy is my bigger tool box which is appx. 48"x48"24" and weighs about 600lbs. (11/1/2008)
Response:
Hello, this is William Donohoe from The Shipping Shack, Inc. Thanks for your reply. Depending on the tool box itself, might be able to just to palletize it. We will not be able to make that determination until we see the tool box once you accept our quote. Mahalo. (11/1/2008)
Question:
Hello, this is William Donohoe from The Shipping Shack, Inc. Honolulu. We have submitted 2 new updated quotes for your shipment. The 1st one is for ocean. The 2nd one is for air. Both quotes are for 2 60x48x60 crates. These quotes do not include the crates themselves with pick up service included for your shipment here on Oahu. We will take your shipment to our staging are in Mapunapuna by the airport where we will load the 2 crates. Both quotes include curb side delivery to your residence in Florida. Let us know if you need 2 crates themselves. We will resubmit new quotes to include the crates, mahalo. (10/31/2008)
Response:
2 crates will be fine, im assuming the least expensive is ocean. i dont necessarily need drop off at my door but i definately need it picked up. (11/1/2008)
Response:
Hello, this is William Donohoe from The Shipping Shack, Inc. Honolulu. We can pick up your items without any problem. The size of the crate(s) will determine if they can be delivered or not. This is do to the lift gate at the receiving end being able to handle the size & weight of the crate(s) since they are being delivered to a residence & not a business with a dock and/or fork lift. All of these logistics have to be taken into consideration with shipments like yours from origin to destination. We can make that determination once we have your shipment. Please let us know here on U-Ship if you have any other questions. Mahalo. (11/1/2008)
