Response: Hi sokmister, this is William Donohoe from The Shipping Shack, Inc. Thanks for your reply. We do not hide cost. This is why it is all listed in our quotes. Many people, if they are not regular shippers, are unaware of addtional charges for resident pick up delivery, lift gate cahrges, etc. This is why we list the additional charges seperate to let shippers know that they can save money by but at the same let them know that additional charges will apply for these additional services. We are not out to deceive anyone. If we were, we would not even list the fees for liftgate, resident pickup & delivery. This is why we tell shippers they may contact us here on U-Ship if they have any questions. Our record & length of service speaks for itself, thank you. (6/19/2008)

[content removed-unrelated to services offered] If you pick MY company or someone else’s, PLEASE look out for these companies who want you to fall into their snare with extra charges they hide within a paragraph in hopes of you not reading the paragraph. I like to make sure my future customers are aware of some of the practices we have seen within the LTL realm and public arenas. Question: FYI - as per uShip rules, bid rated all inclusive per posting info: “Business to Residential” with liftgate service for both ... Shipper (consignor) to load crated motor onto liftgate & Consignee to unload same from liftgate ... Do you have any questions or require rate and/or service clarification?? ... If so, then please ask before accepting ... THX ... P.S. - Significant cost savings can often be realized by consignee picking-up shipment at carrier’s terminal (or to use a business drop shipment location close to destination) so as to avoid residential, limited access and/or liftgate accessorial charges ... Terminal location for shipment’s destination within 70 miles of ZIP 34453 (or do you know of a closer business to use like a service stn, hardware, feed store, RV dealer, auto wrecker, any business?) ... advise if this would be a preferable option to consider and can re-bid to suit.)
