Questions for this shipment:

Question: Hi, I can transport this for you. I have transported dozens of airplanes through the years. I know all the special needs that aircraft have in transit. Check out my feedback and profile. Thanks Brian. (2/2/2007)
Response: Brian, I checked your feedback and it looks like your customers like you and your bid is in the ballpark. I have a few questions: 1. What kind of rig/trailer would you use? Enclosed? 2. When was your last aircraft haul and what kind of plane was it? 3. My plane has an 8' landing gear spread with wings detached; for an enclosed trailer, you have to cinch-strap the gear a few inches to get the wheels through a 90" door. Is this a factor for you? 4. At departure point, the planes will be ready with wings and vertical fin detached from fuselage and padded for shipment; how will you arrange and tie down the parts on the trailer? 5. Plane would need to depart West Monroe by Feb 20 latest; does that work for you? 6. Where are you based? 7. What kind of insurance do you carry and what is covered? Thanks, Don (2/2/2007)
Question: Don, I use a 1 ton pickup, and an open trailer for all aircraft moves, it just works better. The last aircraft I transported was a BD4, and it is still on the trailer. Securing the wings varies from one aircraft to the next. It depends on what the wing is made of and how it is shaped and finished. The landing gear can a pain, but that being said I have never found one I could not deal with. Insurance is available through Uship, or if your plane is already insured, that should cover it, Be sure to check with your agent to see if your current coverage (if any) will cover it. What type of aircraft is this. Also I would also need for you to book this soon, as most of my time in the desired timeframe is booked, I can still work you in at this point. Thanks Brian.
