Additional Information:
indoor skateboard park is moving unused skate ramps to washington state and eed a flatbed to get them there. will load as much as we can on to a flatbed. both locations are easy in and out and will have loading help on both ends. must be a flat bed as they will not fit (i dont think) in a box type truck. we have quite a few ramps but most of them fit together.
Questions for this shipment:
Question:
Do you have any ides of the weight ? (8/30/2005)
Response:
i really dont. they are more awkward than heavy. (8/30/2005)
Question:
how about IDEA ? (8/30/2005)
Response:
what is IDEA? (8/30/2005)
Question:
I mis-spelled idea just correcting (8/30/2005)
Question:
I have a 24 ft flat bed with 2 7K axles. (8/30/2005)
Response:
i know nothing about trucks or axles weight/strength. if that means we can put 14k lbs on the flatbed, i think that would be more than enough. i dont know if this web page will let you post more pictures but if it does i can get more pics up. (8/30/2005)
Question:
what are the ramps made of ? Ron (8/30/2005)
Response:
wood. they are 2 X 6 construction sheeted with 3/8 plywood. again they are more awkward than heavy. there is no way for us to measure what they weight. it takes 3 guys to move most of them, sometimes 4. we can always put as much as we can on the truck and trash the rest. the story is that these are ramps we are getting rid of to make way for a remodeled skate park. we are donating the old ramps to a church in washington. if we can get most of them up there, great. if we cant take all of them no big deal. (8/30/2005)
Question:
1000 miles Do you have a target price as it is getting very expensive to haul anything with the fuel prices especially on the west coast. $ 3.00 per gallon & up. Midwest is around $ 2.50 (8/31/2005)
Response:
id like to be in the $1500-$2000 range. again this is a donation to a church so i dont want it to cost us too much because we would not be able to afford it. id really like to put it on the back of a rig that is down here delivering something. but then again im new at all this. never done it before. (8/31/2005)
Question:
I will move your shiptment for $ 1750.00. If this works I will bid right now & if you accept then we can contact each other. (8/31/2005)
Question:
If this works my email is messed up but you should have my contact # Ron (8/31/2005)
Response:
i need a day to get back to you. i have two other offers. i will say i am leaning toward yours. can you tell me how long and wide is the flatbed and are you in a semi or a regular truck? (8/31/2005)
Question:
i can do it for $1,700 i have a f-350 with a 12' flatebed and a 20'trailer 24k total between both (8/31/2005)
Response:
i really think that is too little space. some of the ramps are 8' x 8'. i guess i dont understand your configuration. i dont know what an f-350 is unless you are talking about a ford f 350 flatbed truck with a 20' trailer that you tow behind it. is that right? how wide is the trailer? (8/31/2005)
Question:
ya sorry its a ford f-350 with a 12x8 foot flatebed and a 20'x8'flatebed trailer that is towed behind it (9/1/2005)
Response:
do you have experience transporting cargo of this type at all? how long have you been trucking? do you have any references? (9/1/2005)
Question:
I have a 24 ft Gooseneck trailer. I have excellent references available other than UShip. Thanks Ron (9/1/2005)
Response:
you will have to forgive me, im new to this but i am looking for the dimensions of the trailer you have so that i can see if this stuff will fit on top of it. how tall can the load be? (9/1/2005)
Question:
Not a problem ! My trailer is 24ft long. The bed is 83 inches wide but I can load freight beyond the 83 as long as I do not exceed 102 inches. If you need to ship more than I can handle I have another driver with a smaller trailer we might be able to load if he is available. Ron (9/2/2005)
Response:
how high can the load be? (9/2/2005)
Question:
My trailer stands about 36 inchs above ground. I think we would have to start loading & place the pieces as best we can . I don't think we should loat to the max--13.6.This material doesn't look that stable. I would hate to be re-loading it. What about the second trailer ? Ron Have you looked @ my feed back ? (9/2/2005)
Response:
it may take awhile to load given that we want to fit as many of the ramps as possible. will we have time to be able to lay them out and fit them the best way possible? we would probably need the trailer to be left with us for a few hours. can you do that? also i didnt understand what you meant by "the second trailer". i want to go on this before the end of next week so sorry about all the questions, i just want to be sure of what i am doing. thanks for your patience. (9/2/2005)
Question:
Not being sure how much we can load I was thinking of another trailer but he is leaving for OK to pick up a new trailer like mine. Are you ok with the $ 1750.00 ? Ron (9/4/2005)
Response:
i still have a question or two. are you based out of southern california? will we have the time to figure out the best way to load it? another driver has a little more length and is at $1700. (9/4/2005)
Question:
T (9/4/2005)
Question:
I live in Az on the Ca border. 45 yrs. truck driving. Last 33 yrs drove for Lucky Stores. Retired. Other hauler does have more space. If it were me shipping & wanted to ship all I could I would use him. I am well experenced & have excellent references but this it not my only source of income as it may be for david 38 but I do not know. You should probably give him a try. Ron (9/4/2005)
Response:
do you have time to give us to configure the ramp load...to be able to set them up there and move them around to see what works best or do we have to have it ready when you get here? the washington end is easy, i have guys that will offload it. (9/4/2005)
Question:
Not a problem. I just do not want to load extreamly high. I was on a time schedule all of my working years but not now. Don't you think you could load more onto the other haulers truck & trailer ? I am not trying to get out of work but I want only what is best for you. Ron Ron (9/4/2005)
Question:
i have pleanty of referrence's and lots of experance i drive up and down the coast all the time i run four truck's the best way to figure out how to fit everything is to measure every peace then figure how to arange them on the tralier and if something's could be stacked on one another and another thing you might wan't to do this asap as fuel price's keep rising (9/5/2005)
Question:
i have 8x8 of space on truck and 8'x20' of space on trailer and if you hang over the back of the trailer 2' that's all right i can do this any time to (9/5/2005)
Question:
Good luck David ! (9/6/2005)
Response:
id really like to use you for this shipment. forgive all the questions and the holiday delay. this is my first large shipment. i can give you a yes at this point. we will be gone friday early morning so we can either do it before then or after the weekend. are you still interested? (9/6/2005)
Question:
No problem ! Questions are important. I cancelled my bid because I have not been able to find any freight comming back & that really eats up any profit. I am still looking. I really do appreciate your confidence in me . Ron (9/7/2005)
Response:
id like to take your bid so when you are ready please list your bid again so i can accept. (9/7/2005)
Question:
did you find someone or do you still need this done (9/8/2005)
Question:
My partner will be back fron Ok. on Sunday with a new trailer like mine. Would you be interested in using both trailers to transport possibly all of the ramps. The bid would have to change . thanks Ron (9/9/2005)
Response:
it would depend on the price. i am ready to take your bid of $1750 for what we have been discussing. i would like to know more about the two trucks though. i do need to get these ramps out of here soon. (9/9/2005)
Question:
Hello , I could provide an enclosed 12' box truck pulling a 22' enclosed trailer , both of them are high cube(8' high) inside. Loading capacity of truck is 4000lbs and trailer 10,000 lbs. Could do the trip on Oct. 4 , 2005 Delivery within 2-3 days.Price would be $1750.00 Please , let me know. Thanks Les (9/9/2005)
Response:
thank you but i do not think that it would fit in enclosed trailers. (9/9/2005)
Question:
My partner just got home today with a new 24 ft just like mine. I was just thinking that we could possibly move all of the ramps. Is it important to send all that you can ? Ron (9/11/2005)
Response:
it depends on price. we were going to put as many ramps on a flatbed as possible and pack them as close as possible. i dont have another $1750 to spend for another truck. let me know how much for both. i would like to start this process soon. let me know. (9/11/2005)
Question:
i'm still ready to do this if you want i got the room you need (9/11/2005)
Question:
Just to let you know I am not trying to make more money. I will actually make less since I will split with my partner & pay a higher uship fee. My only reason for the two trailers is to hopefully move all the ramps. ron (9/12/2005)
Response:
so how much for both trucks? (9/12/2005)
Question:
It would be no where near another $ 1750.00 (9/12/2005)
Response:
i really appreciate that. you can actually get a tax deductable donation receipt for any money you may lose because we are non profit agencies. (9/12/2005)
Question:
can you do $ 2600.00 for both trailers ? (9/12/2005)
Question:
FAMILY EMERGENCY ! Flying to Ohio today . I am sorry but family is first. (9/13/2005)
Question:
Me again Flight on hold. Ron (9/13/2005)
Question:
Are you still looking to move these ? (9/18/2005)
Response:
sorry. my family was very ill, including myself. sinus infections. (i have 4 kids so we just pass stuff like this around). yes i do want to ship it. i am going to have to stick with one truck . again, this is a donated gift so we really dont want to spend too much more. we will just have to get as much stuff as possible on the flat bed. what is your availability for next week? (9/18/2005)
Question:
Next week looks good. Ron (9/20/2005)
Response:
so what is the next step? (9/20/2005)
Question:
I will re-post my bid & you accept then we can contact each other via telephone. Ron (9/20/2005)
