Questions for this shipment:
Question:
When does the auction end? Going to be in Philadelphia 4/8,4/9 and 4/13. Could pick this up then and deliver by 4/19. $375 please advise if the time frame works and I will submit a formal bid. Thanks (4/7/2009)
Response:
This auction ends on 4/10 not sure what time. The 4/13 could be an option. The seller will need a specific pick up time and date. Would you service include preparing this item for transport and loading. The item is not currently palletized or crated. Would it need to be if not how will it be protected. Does this cost include insurance on the item? If so how much and is there a deductible? Thank you, Jody (4/7/2009)
Response:
The specific pick up date of 4/13 can be locked in tomorrow. I have to check with the client that has the Philadelphia freight first. As for a specific time, probably not too specific. 12-3, 3-6 ect, I wouldnt mind having to wait if they needed it picked up after work. There isnt much needed to transport it, the trucks have 6' x 7' liftgates, the loading is easy. No palletizing either, it will be secured using load straps to the E-Track system in the truck. The truck would be empty, so nothing else would be with it. Standard insurance is for up to $500, included in the cost. Since this a used mower, the insurance is specific to damage occurring due to shipping only. We take pictures of EVERYTHING before the freight is loaded so that there are no discrepancies about it's condition. I will submit a bid tomorrow if Monday will work with my client. If not, I will at least let you know and you can pursue another carrier. Thanks (4/7/2009)
Response:
If you are able to bid this, then I could finalize a time with the seller. I would think that 3-6 would work but will have to make sure. $500 insurance should suffice of the truck is empty. My only concern is that this will not cover full replacement cost of the mower, but w/ an empty truck there should be no damage sustained in transit. The price and timeframe are perfect, hopefully you are able to submit this bid. Thank you, Jody (4/8/2009)
Response:
I will get back to you this evening with a definite schedule and answer. Thanks again (4/8/2009)
Question:
Just walked in the door....... The Philadelphia freight is going tomorrow, Thursday. I think this is too soon for you since the Q&A says the auction ends on Saturday. They bumped the schedule up due to Good Friday. Guess we are going to have to miss out on this one. Good luck (4/8/2009)
Question:
Good morning. Below is my bid for transporting your mower. After reviewing my bid, please click on my username "Greyhound", located next to my bid. This will take you to my U-ship Profile & feedback. If you wish to confirm my credentials as a "legitimate" (federally licensed w/ appropriate cargo insurance on file), please click on the highlighted [blue] numbers at the top-left of my Profile page. This will open a "real-time" link to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (USDOT). This will provide you with information regarding my LEGAL authority to operate as a "for hire" motor carrier in interstate commerce. By scrolling down my FMCSA page, you can also note that my license is endorsed for transport of machinery. Best regards, "Greyhound" (Kelly Freight Services) (4/9/2009)
Question:
If someone can help load and unload into a pickup truck, I can do this for a total of $240. Will someone be at pickup and drop off to help? (4/10/2009)
Response:
I would be available at drop off. I will have to ask the seller about assistance at pickup. I am still trying to find out if I won this mower because the reserve was not met. I will keep you informed of what I find. Will this load be insured at fair market value? Will the load be secured, protected, and covered during shipment? (4/11/2009)
Response:
Let me know if you win, your item would ride in my pickup truck, covered with a tarp, insured for market value. Thanks! (4/12/2009)
Question:
I can load this inside my enclosed trailer towards the end of the week for you for $385.00 and run it up to T. I think you are not far from Rouse Point if I remember right. let me know and I will make sure it gets picked up and you have it by Sunday next week. Thanks (4/11/2009)
Response:
I am about 15-20 minutes from Rouse's Point. I have not yet won the auction. I will let you know when I find out. Thank you, Jody (4/11/2009)
Response:
Hi Jodi and thanks for writing me, if you do win the Mower and need me to do this let me know and I would be glad to do this for you. I am from Upstate NY so I know the area well. Tony (4/11/2009)
Question:
Hi, Jody. My bid expires today. Did you win the auction? Please let me know either way, as I need to know if I should let the bid expire or renew. Happy Easter. Best regards, Tony K. (The "Greyhound") (4/12/2009)
Response:
Tony The reserve was not met and the item has been put back up for auction. I will bid again. I belive the auction ends Friday. What would be your timeframe on delivery? Thanks and Happy Easter Jody (4/12/2009)
Response:
Hi, Jody. Happy (belated) Easter to you as well. Actually, I ould have been picking up on Friday. Assuming you win the auction, will it be immediately available for transport (on Friday)? My delivery timeframe would be during the week of the 20th. I don't know if this would work for you. I have to work the pick-up like that as it is the only day I'll be in the area before going east & north. Please advise. Thanks again!! Best regards, Tony K. (4/13/2009)
Response:
Tony, I was mistaken the auctionactually ends on Saturday @ about 10AM. I will contact the seller and see how soon after the end of the auction the Item can be picked up. I will advise you ASAP. Thanks, Jody (4/13/2009)
Response:
I'll do my best to work with you on this, but I'm due in Ne Jersey no later than Friday & I can't double back to Penna. Depending on how fast you need it & how long the seller will hold on to it, I'll be doing another southbound & back to New England late May. I'll be off the road for the first couple of weeks in May due to a family member undergoing surgery. I'm running west in late April, but it's the north corridor.....Let's see what happens. Either way, it's been a pleasure communicating. Best regards, Tony K. (4/13/2009)
Question:
Did you win the mower? I'm heading to that area this week and can still offer you a great deal on shipping. (4/12/2009)
Response:
The mower is up for auction again. What kind of deal can you offer, and when are you headed this way? (4/13/2009)
Response:
$250 picked up and delivered on Thursday. (4/13/2009)
Response:
Your original message offered delivery for $240. Why the increase? What is your best offer? The reason that I ask is the auction does not end until Friday. However there is a buy it now option, but that is $200 more than the reserve. My goal is to get the mower for the lowest total cost in the least amount of time. I'm trying to low ball you; I'm just trying to weigh my options and make the best economic decision (4/13/2009)
Response:
You're right, it was $240. I'll rebid for that amount. I thought I quoted $250, I apologize for the inconvenience. (4/13/2009)
Question:
What happened to the mower? We will most likely be down in the Philly area again next week. 4/20-4/24. (4/13/2009)
Response:
The mower is up for auction again and the auction ends on Saturday. (4/13/2009)
Question:
I made a mistake, I confused your shipment with another. The mower will ride on an open trailer, not in a pick up bed. It will still be covered with a blanket and tarp. Loading and unloading will be a piece of cake-my trailer has a ramp. Thank you, MovingByBen (4/13/2009)
Response:
Is the time of pick up still the same? Thursday? What time do you anticipate picking up the item so that I can let the seller know? Thanks, Jody (4/14/2009)
Response:
Pick up will be Thursday morning. (4/14/2009)
Response:
If I can arrange an 8AM pickup, how soon would you need to know? I am still waiting to hear back from the seller. Thanks, Jody (4/15/2009)
Response:
I will place a bid for you, I will need to know by 5:30 am eastern time. That is what time I will be leaving. My bid will expire at 5:30am- IT WILL SAY 4:30 ON THE USHIP SITE!!!!! That is because they use Central time!!!! I lost a job last week because the shipper was confused about that-which is why I'm explaining it here. The sooner you will know, the better. If this can be shipped, and you accept my bid, please call me ASAP-you will have access to my contact info from uship upon accepting bid. It doesn't matter what time of day or night. Please call me to let me know, if I miss the call, please leave a message. Thank you! (4/15/2009)
Response:
As of right now it doen't look like I will be able to arrange a pick up @ 8 AM. I want to thank you for your quick response and I will let you know if I win the item and still need it shipped. Thank you, Jody (4/15/2009)
Response:
No problem. It looks like I'll be in the area until 9am. I will rebid with expiration at 9am eastern time, should anything change, just accept bid and call. (4/15/2009)
