Questions for this shipment:

Question: if im understanding you correctly this is a specialty trailer that can move up to 300 thousand lbs and weight is 160,000 lbs on its own. I would be very interested in oving this and i do have loads i could move with it. I have been brokinging my big loads out due to the fact that i dont have a trailer. I have the trucks though. Please respond if this is correct. Thanks easytrucking4u (5/4/2008)
Response: if i cut the transporter unit in half, each piece will weigh 80,000 lbs, i can reduce the weight further by removeing more wheel assembelies. it is very diffucult to do this but if it has to be done then so be it.the unit is capable of transporting 300 tons when fully assembeled. it has 56 wheels.this is used to build ships. (5/5/2008)
Response: yes i understand what this is can you send me a photo opf this unit i can move this Ill be making the calls today thanks (5/5/2008)
Response: I HAVE UPLOADED (2) PHOTOS OF THE TRANSPORTER. IT IS THE ORANGE THING UNDER THE SHIP BOW. I HAVE A PHOTO OF RIGHT VIEW AND LEFT VIEW. REMEMBER IT HAS A CAB AT EACH END. I WISH I COULD E-MAIL YOU OR FAX YOU A DIAGRAM. IT IS A RECTANGEL WITH THE ENGIN ,HYDROLIC PUMPS,AND AIR COMPRESSOR IN THE MIDDEL AND A CAB AT EACH END. IT CAN CARRY A PIECE THAT WEIGHS UP TO 300 TONS.I CAN CLOSE 1 OF 3 DEALS IF I CAN GET THE RIGHT PRICE FOR DELIVERY. (5/5/2008)
Response: im wanting to move this for you. What is your time frame and what is the budgeted peice you would like to be at.Im still getting some information on this move as far as permits police escorts and time frame. This would be considedered a super load and will take 1 to 2 weeks to accuire all the nessesary permits. Also I would need to get my truck out there which is no more then a 4 day trip no mater where im at in the country. Im usurally in the office but for this move Ill be the driver. hope to hear from you soon (5/6/2008)
Question: is this the orange transporter from BIW? if so I think you may want to re-think cutting in half..I know unit ( used to operate it when I worked there) and weight would best be shipped on a barge ..this may not be your best mode for trying to ship this..JIM [rdking625] (5/5/2008)
Response: THANK YOU FOR POINTING THAT OUT. I WANT TO SHIP IT BY BARGE "BUT" THE COST IS ASTRONOMICAL AND I HAVE A VERY TIGHT BUDGET.THE CUSTOMER WANTS IT NOW''I WAS HOPEING TO CATCH SOME ONE ELSE SHIPPING SOMETHING SOUTH AND I COULD HELP CUT THERE COSTS BY PAYING FOR HALF THE LOAD.I WAS HOPEING THIS SITE WOULD HELP... (5/5/2008)
Response: well if you want to transport over land you would have to cut it up in quarters to even being close to leagal ... just an awful lot of work.. (5/5/2008)
Response: IT CAN BE DONE WITH THE CORRECT TRAILERS AND THE CORRECT PERMITS. OVER HIGHT IS MORE OF A PROBLEM THAN OVER WIDTH. I ALREADY HAVE (2) QUOTES FOR THE MOVE.REMOVE THE CABS AND THEN CUT IT IN HALF. TRANSPORTER UNITS ARE USUALY SHIPPED VIA BARGE OR SHIP"BUT" THE CUSTOMER WANTS IT NOW.THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT. (5/5/2008)
Response: well if you find a shipper and still need the cabs taken south , I have a 30ft. enclosed trailer that can do the job.. (5/5/2008)
Question: We can handle this, no problem. But I need a better idea of what it looks like. Do you think you can upload a picture? (5/5/2008)
Response: I HAVE JUST UP LOADED (2) PHOTOS OF THE TRANSPORTER.I HAVE 1 PHOTO OF THE LEFT AND 1 OF THE RIGHT. IT HAS A CAB AT BOTH ENDS. IT IS A RECTANGEL WITH THE ENGIN,HYDROLIS AND AIR PUMPS IN THE MIDDEL. IT WEIGHS 80 TON AND CAN MOVE SOMETHING THAT WEIGHS UP TO 300 TONS. WHEN YOU LOOK AT THE PHOTOS IT IS THE ORANGE THING UNDER THE BOW OF THE SHIP. (5/5/2008)
Question: if you get it to your locations and are looking for an operator...I'm very familiar with this machine.. (5/5/2008)
Response: I WILL FORWARD THIS INFORMATION TO THE CUSTOMER. (5/5/2008)
Response: thank-you... (5/5/2008)
