  • Item Description: one or two semi loads per week of hay. starting asap until the first week in september. Needs to be hauled on drop deck flatbed trailer or doubles. Trailer will be over height if loaded on straight flatbed.

Question: Will driver wait for loading and unloading and or help? Is this drop and hook? (5/7/2009)
Response: the driver won't have to help unload. we have a drop deck trailer, so would be open to you just dropping & rotating trailers with each load. (5/11/2009)
Response: No problem with time unloading, trailer swaps are hard to do as for me to get you the best rates you will have several different operator as they will be moving other loads in between your loads. (5/11/2009)

Response: 500 bales makes one load. each bale weighs approx 90 lbs so 500 bales would be 45,000. we've used a drop deck before & it works perfectly for us. there's a scale at the farm where we load & we always make sure the driver is ok on weight (and height). right now we need a minimum of one load per week & in a couple weeks will be needing a load about every 5 days or so. Response: It has to go on a flatbed... the hay's loaded 60 bales at a time with a big machine that won't fit into a dry van. (5/11/2009)
