Question: Hello Shipper. I was wondering if you knew the costs of moving your boat. $748 fuel(2.60/gal) everybodies fees and tolls are over $300, ins at $21 a day for about $75 for 4 days, wear and tear on truck $35 per day @ about $100 for the trip(this estimate is very conservative), the total of all that doesn't include eating or sleeping in a motel, which food at $5 a day(one subway sandwich or the like) and sleeping in the truck equals 20 for the trip, all this means the cost to the transporter are approx. $1243. 1700-1243=457/4= $114/day, can't maintain a truck on $114 a day profit. Thats why my bid was higher then others for almost a 3000 miles. Food for thought. Good shipping. Whiteline88 (10/25/2009)
