Questions for this shipment:

Question: Is p/u late Wed. or early Thurs.(5/24-25) too soon for you. I must check with my driver, but I may be able to add this in with one he's making this weekend. His wife & son might want to join him on a roadtrip, and that'd put them in some beautiful country. I'm sure he can do if for your target price. Will let you know on 5/21.Thanks for your consideration. R&L (5/21/2006)
Response: The sooner the better. You are right there is some beautiful country up here. Lake Tahoe is truly something to see. (5/21/2006)
Question: I can p/u Wed. 5/24 evening and deliver Sat. 5/27 if that is ok. Target price is fine, but is this boat wider that 101 inches? If so, it will need an oversize permit, so we must check w/ DOT on Mon. Will you be willing to cover that extra charge? If DOT requires an escort; however, I will not be able to take this. I will let you know Mon. Thanks, R & L (5/21/2006)
Response: The boat is 9ft 11inches wide so it is 119" wide. I do not believe a pilot car is required.(I am fairly certain that there is no pilot car required)I do think an oversize permit might be required and if so they are pretty cheap. Check your route against the state requirements. They have the information on line for oversize requirements. So as I mentioned before the sooner the better for us. If the soonest we can get it is Saturday that will have to work. Thanks for your interest. (5/21/2006)
Question: Under 12 ft. should only require a permit, not an escort vehicle in Az, Nv, or Ca. (5/21/2006)
Response: I did some checking and only a permit is needed. No pilot car required for any section. (5/21/2006)
Question: I have all the permit and routing info for this load, and I am good to go. I will need to increase the price to $1200. and I am asking for $500. of that as a deposit due upon pick/up. If this is acceptable, or to negotiate further, please post as a question or response, so that we can finalize with a posted bid. Thanks, R & L (5/22/2006)
Response: Hey thanks for the response. Just to reiterate the boat needs to be strapped to the trailer and the mast needs to be secured to the deck. The mast is currently on deck in the proper position just needs to be secured. The boat is sitting really nice on the trailer just needs to be tied down for shipping. The trailer has 4 brand new tires and newly refurbished brakes. It is completely road worthy. If you have any questions about the trailer John Spencer will have the answers. John can also assist in making sure the boat is secured before you hit the road. This should be a smooth ride. We just got burned on a deposit by Jason King. He flat out lied to me so I am not holding out much hope on getting my deposit back. I am a little hesitant about the deposit since I am still stinging from the last bite. If the deposit is required I can pay with the credit card since that way I might be able to recover it. I'm sure you're an honest guy and if it wasn't for getting burned it wouldn't be a probl (5/22/2006)
Question: No problem. We'll call this a go then. I am very sorry you got burned on your last deal-won't happen w/ me. If you would feel more secure using a c/c, maybe a transfer to my account would work for you. We will work that out, no problem. If you are in agreement, I will go ahead and place my bid for 1200.00, and we'll talk when you accept. Thank you, Rick (5/22/2006)
Response: Thanks Rick. I'm sure we can work it out. (5/22/2006)
