Questions for this shipment:
Question:
Are the weight and dimensions correct? If so, this would require special permits and we wouldn't be able to come close to your target price. (2/13/2008)

Question:
Hello Shipper, Thanks for the request. I need to make sure that the dims. are correct. Can you check on these and let me know? I will submit a bid after i hear back from you. Thanks, Jay (2/13/2008)
Response:
height is 13 ft other dimensions are correct (2/13/2008)
Question:
Thanks for the request I will work on a time frame to give you, Your target price is extremely low for this shipment It will cost more than that in fuel and permits I will do what I can to beat any bids that you have come in but the job is worth around 3000 let me know your feelings on this and If i can work it into another shipment the price could go down a little but it will likely not go below 2500 thanks (2/13/2008)
Question:
Hello, If the width is where I dont have to permit I will be avalable the last of april or first part of may. Please confirm the width and let me know. Thank you Robert (2/13/2008)
Response:
width is 12 ft (2/14/2008)
Response:
Thank you for your response, cannot do this. Robert (2/14/2008)
Question:
thanks for your request, but we will have to recline because of the width of the load. Thanks, Rusty68 (2/13/2008)
Question:
Thank you for requesting my bid. I am unable to assist you with this shipmentdue to the width requires special permits and I do not have the equipment and permits for oversize loads. Thanks Bobby8591 (2/13/2008)
Question:

Question:
Thank you for your bid request. Let me get back to you with a possible fee. I also believe the target will be too low. I will however try to be ver competitive. Thank you very much. (2/14/2008)
Question:
thank you for your request but Im going to decline because of special permits. (2/16/2008)
Question:

Question:

Response:
"darn, we are off a little on time. boat is on trailer, will be completely ready to go, electric brakes, new bearings and lights. it is an oday 302, 8500# trailer must weigh 1000#, 2/5/8 trailer ball, 2 axle. we really need to go during the 3rd or 4th week of april. do you have other openings? thanks." (3/5/2008)
Response:
Sorry we have no other openings at his time, will keep an eye on you for possible future openings. Thanks. King Transport (3/5/2008)
Question:
I gave you the best price I could considering the permits and insurance needed. I think you will find any legal carrier will be about the same or more. Please keep us in mind if you don't find anything else or have any questions. Dave/KingTransport (3/6/2008)
Response:
we have a bid for 2100 from a legal carrier. have not accepted it yet. still looking. (3/6/2008)
Response:
OK, just trying to help. Good luck with your shipment. Dave and Kim/KingTransport (3/6/2008)
Question:
Hello shipper I am interested in this item, not sure the pepuse of having a rtrailer for a sailboat thats what us guys are for, it's easier for me to do a round trip with my trailer anyways i have been looking to make a round trip and could also do this for you if they will load the boat and they trailer seperately on mine I have a 48 footer some pictures with sailboats in my profile either way if you have a bid for 2100 from a legal carrier with insurance I would take it, that is an awesome price by the dates you are looking at fuel will be between 4.50 and 5.00 a gallon for diesel It will be hard for me to compete with that but if something changes and your willing to have them loaded seperately but in the same shipment on my trailer let me know or even sell your trailer and i will just take the boat that will give you virtually free shipping that way. (3/13/2008)
Response:
Hello. I tow my boat around on various occasions, eg if a hurricane came I'd pull it and hide it. You can see my boat and trailer, can you put them as is on your trailer? If I separate them it would cost too much to have the boat picked up by a crane and then set on you trailer-I think. Suggestion's. thanks jeff lane drjlane located at hotmail (3/14/2008)
Response:
You say crane so I take it there is no lift facility at pickup, the charge for a crane is a 3 hour minimum so it wouldn't be any extra to separate to load, but your trailer cannot be pulled onto my trailer unless the width of the outside to outside of the wheels are 78" and I'm afraid that would put us over height but I can check into it, you just happen to be in an uncommon route for marine haulers so unless you want to pay loading and unloading costs i would think your bids will come in for round trip mileage which will probably work out the same or a little more check in with a crane company to see what it would cost I have done a few larger sailboats with cranes and it is 450 at each end (3/14/2008)
Question:
Thanks for the request, but i will not be in that area anytime soon. (3/14/2008)
Question:
Thank you for the bid request, but I can't come close to your target price with fuel costs and permits required. My bid would be in the 3 3.5k range. Thanks and good luck (3/14/2008)
Question:
Thanks for the request, but if you have a bid from a "legal" carrier for 2100 you had better take it... 1534 miles. That is only 1.36 a mile, somebody is gonna lose money or hit you for all the fees for the oversize permits. We have associates that haul RV's with 2 of their pickups for 1.49 a mile, no permits needed. Thus with fuel at roughly 0.50 a mile for a pickup tack on permits, truck pay, driver pay, they will not even break. Good luck captain. (3/14/2008)
Question:
(3/14/2008)
Question:
Thank you for the request for "bid " I can not even come close to what you have going money "wise" ahem..With dudes that run with with pick up trucks, no legal paper's no insurance on your boat. If we did the job we would provide you a certificate of insurance, proper bill of lading, and so on. thanx stanton (3/14/2008)
Question:
I'm in col.now headed to kan.to drop off a gooseneck.I would take your boat to fl.foryour budget.Really need to know something pretty quick.Thank you, Tim (3/14/2008)
Response:
will most likely be ready in 3 weeks. maybe something else will come up. hope so. thanks (3/15/2008)
Question:
If we can make arrangements to pick this up tomorrow,I'll do it for 1850.Need to know something pretty quick.Thank you,Tim (3/14/2008)
Response:
don't have time to get it ready by tomorrow. anything else coming up soon? thanks (3/14/2008)
Question:
sorry but you are already declining prices far below a realistic number good luck with your move thanks gary MRSTRKN12 (3/14/2008)
Question:
Do yuo know when it will be ready?Tim (3/14/2008)
Question:
My schedule has change.I'm going to pick up a camper in wichita monday and taking back to Sidney NE.So this would out me wed. back to you.If this would work out for you. Please let me know something in the next day or so.I'm ready for sunshine and bikinis if you know what I mean.Thank you,Tim (3/15/2008)
Question:
is the boat ready>>>and what are you paying>>> (3/25/2008)
Question:
You have -- width is 12 ft on (2/14/2008) And on 2/13 you state dimensions were correct and the width at 10ft... Which is correct? (3/28/2008)
Response:
the width is 10ft 4in on the boat (3/29/2008)
Question:
I HAVNT TAKEN THE TIME TO READ ALL YOU HAVE HERE. DOES THIS STILL NEED TO GO? DOES IT REQUIRE A WIDTH PERMIT? WHEN DO YOU WANT THIS DONE? WHAT BID WILL IT TAKE TO GET THE JOB? THANKS--GTHAULING (4/3/2008)
Response:
the boat still needs to go. it probably does need a width permit, unless you want to take a chance and go without it. we need to have this done in the next week or two. boat should actually be ready monday am. we are looking at all bids now and have not accepted one yet. the lowest bid we have at this time is 2200.00. shoot us your bid asap. thanks (4/4/2008)
