Questions for this shipment:

Question: Will it be all set and ready to go. No disconnection of anything or draining for toilet. Are the tires in good shape to make the trip and is it insured. If all are ok then I can place my bid (10/4/2008)
Response: kampos, the unit is not connected, I have never seen the unit but i could e-mail you pics. It looks like you could back right up to it, load and go. know not what the tires look like, but the unit was towed by the ins company to a copart ins. pool. uniit looks to be intact, height 11 feet, width 12 feet, lenght approx 30 feet or less. I would like the toer to have ins as I don't know if my policy covers. thanks larry (10/4/2008)
Response: My ranger pulls 5000# so it would work to pull this trailer. I do have another vehicle if need be but I would rather use the ranger as it is a gas saver (10/4/2008)
Response: kampos, this unit has to be state permitted in Ill and Iowa due to its length, 30 feet and width 12 feet. this is a minuture mobile home that includes living room, kitchen, bath and bed room. the weight may exceed ten thousnd pounds, I do not know the weight as I can not contact the manufacturer till monday. thanks larry (10/4/2008)
Question: god be with you if you let anyone pull this unit without proper equipment... this unit at a minimum weighs over 10,000. the wind resistance would eat smaller trucks, if you are wanting to honestly get this moved, we charge 1600 to get this and deliver to you, this would include changing any flats, etc. good luck to you. (10/5/2008)
Response: thank you for your comment. This unit must be permitted in Ill and Iowa to be moved. It will require a minimun of a 550 ford dully truck to move this park model to Iowa. we have just this late friday afternoon, you may be right on the weight but we are looking for a company that is equiped to move the unit with a solid understanding and covered by insurance covering the entire move. Monday morning we will know the weight by the manafacture og yhr unit. these units are being pulled by dullys from manafactures in Ind. to points through-out the U.S. again thanks for your comment. ceinc (10/5/2008)
Question: Hello buyer, I am a subhauler for copart in Iowa, so i have all the ins. and autority needed to make this move. I placed my bid and you can accept with confidence, We will take god care of you, Thanks Schroeder Trucking (10/10/2008)
Question: Hello. I can transport your trailer sometime this week. I will have to get oversize permits for both Illinois and Iowa. This can be transported in less than half a day. Depending on the area of pickup and delivery. My truck can pull this. Please see my profile also and you can see my truck. I own a 2008 Chevy Silverado 3500HD Dually 4x4. I can haul 30k via goose neck, 20k via fifth wheel and 12k via pull behind which I mostly use a 12k weight distribution to not only distribute the weight but also helps for sway control. I have all the equipment to haul this trailer including oversize banners, flags and flashers. I will just need more info on the trailer so I can get a better idea on the permits. What are the exact measurements of this trailer and can you add some pictures too? Let me know. Thanks. (10/12/2008)
Response: thank you for responding, our unit is 12 foot wide,32feet long, as is similar to a mobile home, yes it will have to be permitted in Ill and Iowa, tires are doonut style and we are told in excellent shape, don't know about a spare and unit seems to be a hook up and go needing oversize signs and flags etc. It is located on the northwest corner of Chicago, fifty miles to Interstate 39, 39 to 88 to I-80, mile marker 201 and 50 miles south to Oskaloosa Iowa. will attempt to send pic of unit to you e-mail. Would like to know price if you still have an interest. jThanks CEINC P.S. Would like unit to move out of elgin on Oct 20 or 21. (10/13/2008)
Response: Ok. If possible please take a picture from the front at the coupler. I want to make sure a weight distribution can mount on the arms too. I will check on the permits. (10/13/2008)
Response: gatewood, unable to email pic, not that we dont have it, have no way to pastse image to this answer gram. If you have access to copart you can look at all images for this thursday sale, lisited under mallard 1988. pics look fine to us but do not kn ow your hauling ability. sounds like you are moxy in this world of hauling. we are not allowed to visit by phone, e-mail or fax. we are limited period. if you can access copart you can look at ten images as I have never seen the unit in person. if you could look at the tongue of a mobile home I believe it would be the same, keep in mind that this unit will weigh 10,000pds there about. Hope this will help you if you decide to bring this unit to iowa. thanks ceinc (10/13/2008)
Response: Moxy? Not sure what that means. I notice also that someone flagged my first question. Must be a jealous person cause someone flagged me before cause I was accepted and more qualified to haul another load. Anyways...I am a Class A CDL and my truck can haul up to 30k legally. So physically and legally I can do this. I will find out tomorrow abut the permits and let you know. (10/13/2008)
Response: gatewood1977. wonder if you are still interested in moving the park model from elgin Ill to Oskaloosa Iowa. thanks ceinc (10/14/2008)
Response: Yes I am interested. Sorry for not responding sooner. I was very busy today. I have not contacted DOT for Illinois or Iowa yet but I will tomorrow morning after my son goes to school. The width of 12' will be the only factor that makes this an oversize and requires permits. You can add a picture by editing this listing. I am sure I know what it looks like but if possible please add a picture from the front of it. I can possibly do this Friday morning. But I cannot place a formal bid until I can purchase the permits. I will reply asap tomorrow. Thanks again. (10/14/2008)
Response: we have tried to paste a picture but have not mastered how to do it, thank you for your reply, u-ship rules are no phone# no e-mail no fax or you will be flagged. I do know the iowa dot permit is 16 dollars and good for five days. thanks ceinc (10/14/2008)
Response: Ok...I will contact both DOT's tomorrow and let you know. (10/14/2008)
Question: I contacted Illinois DOT for the permit and I can get it when we are ready. I need to know if there are lights on the rear of this trailer. Is this a tandem trailer also? My understanding is this is 12' wide, 11' high and 30'-32' in length at around 10,000 lbs. This is all the dimensions I stated to the DOT officer and I can get this permit and will have them faxed to me once I pay for them. But we need to figure out a day for this. It will have to be done in the morning so I can transport and deliver the same day legally. What is your price range? (10/15/2008)
Response: Gatewood1977. you being the transporter must quote a price for the move of this unit, I assume you need to supply all reg as requred by the states involved wide loads signs, red flags, etc. I have never seen the unit, know nothing about it excepts the pics offered by copart and them telling me the tires look to be excellent. I dont know how moxy (capable) your company is or if you have ever moved this size unit or dealt with oversize loads. Please do not take on this unit if there is doubt about you capabilities. I need a very capable mover to do this move. thanks ceinc (10/15/2008)
Response: I am very capable as well is my vehicle to pull this trailer thank you. (10/15/2008)
Response: Gatewood1977, sorry that you have taken my concerns wrongly. I am sure you know your capabilities better than I. If you have moved trailers before, that is more than I have ever done. If you decide to bid this move we welcome your bid as I recieved two to date. I hope to move this unit monday or tuesday of this coming week. time has not been a factor to date. will await your bid. thanks ceinc (10/15/2008)
