Question: Hello - would the shipper (or originating location) be willing to place & secure motor to suitable pallet / skid so as to be acceptable for common carrier service? ... THX (5/19/2008)

Response: Hi! Motor should be a simple haul using tie-downs and necessary packing etc. I do not believe the seller wants to mess with prepping the motor for transport. Motor was sold as "pick up only."
- Thanks! (5/19/2008)

Response: Understand & your prompt reply is appreciated ... However, will have to pass for common carrier type service as item would not be accepted loose or as "un-palletized" ... THX (5/19/2008)

Response: PLEASE - NO MORE MAJOR SHIPPING COMPANIES ALLOWED TO BID HERE! I'VE ALREADY DECLARED THIS ITEM WILL NEED TO BE SECURED CAREFULLY IN YOUR TRAILER OR TRUCK - NOT A MAJOR TASK. MOTOR DOES NOT NEED TO BE PALLETIZED OR CRATED; TIE-DOWNS AND PACKING WILL SUFFICE. PLEASE DO NOT BID IF YOU ARE A COMMON CARRIER NEEDING TO CHARGE EXTRA FEES FOR USING YOUR POWER LIFT-GATE OR WANT TO CHARGE MORE FOR PICKUP ETC. - my target price is my target price (no disclaimers suggesting additional fees please!). I'm looking for somebody who is responsible and would like to tranport this motor for me and save on fuel their costs if they happen to be going along the same route (Baltimore to Indiana). Thanks! Question: We will be picking up a boat in Virginia and can grab this on the way out and deliver for $150 (5/21/2008)

Response: What's your estimated timing (pickup) for the motor? Motor is paid for and ready to pickup in Baltimore today. I'll be able to check your followup later this afternoon after work. - Thx, Brad (5/21/2008)

Response: What time does the pick up location close? I would honestly say tomorrow for pick up and delivery in 1 day or the following morning. (5/21/2008)

Response: If you can arrange the motor safely within your trailer rig, I'll accept a bid tonight and call the owner of the motor to work out a pick up time if you can give me a timing when you'd be in the Baltimore area?
- Thanks, Brad (5/21/2008)

Response: Actually this would be transported on a half ton pick up truck. (5/21/2008)

Response: Ok - sounds fine! Let's do it! I'd accept your bid as per my target price and I can give you contact info/address asap. The guy with the motor runs a heating and cooling business, so he's available 24/7 every day! - Thanks, Brad (5/21/2008)

Response: Sounds good we will bid this for $150.00 to us. It will come out to about 186 on this site. its just the distance not to have us allowed to make 150. (5/22/2008)

Response: Bid $150.00 and I will accept $150.00. Not sure why $186.00 is noted? FYI - Had a similar bid earlier for that price I didn't accept. Thx, Brad (5/22/2008)

Response: How many miles from I-90 are you for pick up? And were would we have to drive to deliver. If you meet us interstate side both locations we can do it for 120 which is what we make off 150 after they take their cut here on this site. otherwise its a break even at best scenario which makes no sense. I'm sorry but this is a business, we have costs and bills like anything else. IE we spend over $20,000 a week running trucks in just gas costs. to fill a semi costs 1200+ now. A full tank of unleaded is $80.00 plus. (5/22/2008)

Response: I-90 is about 150 miles north of us. $150.00 is my target and that is what I will accept at this juncture - I'd accept splitting the Uship fee 50/50 with the shipper w/delivery to my door here in Lafayette, IN (we're just two minutes off I-65/ st. Rd. 38 exit). In a month I can get the motor myself and save my $150 in one-way fuel costs when I head east for a business trip. Just thought to offer this shipment to save someone some fuel costs and get the motor a few weeks earlier - I do understand the costs for fuel these days. - Thanks (5/22/2008)
