Questions for this shipment:

Question: Would there be assistance loading/unloading? Also, what would your target price be? (8/5/2007)
Response: there would be no assistance in las vegas. You would need to bring a pallet, strapping to secure the item, and someone to help get it out of the office and into your truck. There would be assistance in unloading on this end. (8/5/2007)
Response: Just to give you an idea, once I place my bid it will only be good until tomorrow evening as I have to plan for my trip and reserve your shipment. As with all my bids I require a minimum of 50% of the totla bid upon acceptnace because most of the expense to me is incured during loading and transport. There are certain supplies that I will need which we have discussed, and obviously the mileage. With that being said, my expected charge would not exceed the next person who may be in California with the supplies in hand, and would probably be less under the circumstances. You can see with my feedback that I am very trustworthy and take extreme care in shipping all types of goods no matter the value. In order for this to be done, a deposit will need to be paid through Paypal. As soon as you give me a price, I will respond with a formal bid. (8/5/2007)
Response: I had mentioned $350 as a target price. I really have no real idea as to what the going rate is. I figured the bids would give me an idea of the market. (8/5/2007)
Response: Actually, I would get $440 on a $500 bid... (8/5/2007)
Question: I am flying out to Ca. next weekend to drive a vehicle I just purchased back to Ohio. I could pick up hour equiptment on the way back... (8/5/2007)
Response: The chair/stand would need to be strapped onto a pallet and wrapped to prevent damage. Are you picking up a box truck with a lift gate. The items would be too heavy to load without a liftgate and without help in loading. I would help unload on this end but you'd need help in vegas. (8/5/2007)
Response: I will have the liftgate and minibus with cargo space in the rear similar to a cargo van. My main concern would be making the transition from the current location to the bus. I will be flying in so I would have to purchase a dolly, pallet, and materials there. What would your target be if this could be done? (8/5/2007)
Response: The office is on the first floor of a private building. The person I bought it from will shrink wrap both units, lower the chair down to its lowest setting to safeguard the hydraulics, raise the arms so no one accidentally sits on it, lock all the arms, and tie down any loose parts or electrical wirings. Then, they will place it near the front door for easy pick up. You would need to carefully strap the items securely to a pallet. Lift it onto your vehicle and further wrap the equipment with anything else that you felt would keep the item from shifting and scratching in transit. I would think that atleast 2 men would be required to get it in safely The most difficult part not knowing the dimensions of your van/bus would be head space. Both items should ship standing upright. The chair I estimate at 5 ft tall, the instrument stand 6 ft tall. Would your vehicle have this much headroom and the width to load a full pallet? I'm looking for bids but would expect to pay around (8/5/2007)
Response: Loading space is not a problem, the bus has an extended roof and oversized opening in the rear with 10' of space between the back of the bus to the back of the first seat. Bus is a '98 Ford V10 very clean and well maintained, similar to a RV with a van front. The lift is already installed. I need to know a target price so I have a rough idea of what you are comfortable spending on the transport. (8/5/2007)
Question: I could do it for a total bid of $500. Just to inform you, Uship charges a finders fee which is rougly 12% of the bid I place. The best I could do would be $500, but I would cover this fee (which you will if you decide to accept any service providers bid)and would actually recieve $460 directly from you. This would be the best price I could give you for a coast to coast transit of this weight. I would also ask that $350 be paid as a deposit immediately following bid acceptance. I was actually think of bidding $600, but I wanted to see what your target was. Let me know, and I will place a bid promptly. Thank you for you patience, as this bidding and messaging process can be a bit frustrating, but I like to be as informative as possible. Keep in mind we will be in contact via phone immediately following bid acceptance. (8/5/2007)
Response: Sorry Dion, I should have read the messages in order. You answered all my questions. I just saw an urgent message and replied to it first. I'm very impressed with you and I'm seriously considering using you. Give me some idea of when you think you could pick up the chair/stand and how long it would take to get it to Orchard Park. I will definately make a decision before your bid expires (does it expire at 12 midnight est or pst?) (8/5/2007)
Response: Well here is my schedule, I will be flying into San Jose Ca. Fri. or Sat. then taking a bus to Salinas Ca. which is only an hour trip to pickup my bus. Then I will be heading up to Sacramento to pickup some other equiptment and shortly there after enroute to Vegas which is approx 550mi. away. I need an idea of times and days for pickup, preferably Sunday or early Monday so I can start my commute back east. Delivery would be no later than the following weekend, but your equiptment will remain on my bus at all times in a secure location. (8/5/2007)
Question: Bids run on CST on Uship (8/5/2007)
Response: dion, I'm not sure what happened. I thought that your bid was good until 12 midnight CST. Did Uship cancel your offer or did you? I apologize if you feel I was asking too many questions, I've just never done this before. Mike (8/6/2007)
Question: I am sorry Mike, I had other shipments pending and I can no longer drop that far south of my route at that price. I had to pickup a smaller shipment along my route as quickly as possible because I hate to do things last minute. I had no problem responding to your questions, and the information exchanged should give another service provider enough knowledge to place a good bid. Thanks and good luck. (8/6/2007)
Response: Dion, What if I gave you the 600 that you originally wanted to quote. I'd like to get this thing over with and it sounds like I can trust you. Let me know Mike (8/6/2007)
Response: Mike, I have a vehicle shipment pending in northern Ca. and the bid expires in 2 hours (around 10 pm EST.), if the guy doesnt accept I could do it for $600 but Id have to ask for at least $450 upfront because I would be adding roughly 500mi. to my original route from where I have to pickup the shipment I discussed earlier. Everything is just wide open out there and major cities are hundreds and hundreds of miles apart from each other. If you are ok with my proposal, I will place another bid around 10pm and it will expire at 8am EST Tues. because I will be at work for the majourity of the day tomorrow. I am sorry for the short expiration times, but I like to have everything planned out in ample enough time so my trip goes as smoothly as possible. (8/6/2007)
Response: Ok Dion, sounds good. I'll respond to your bid. Then we'll need to talk so that I can let them know in vegas when to expect you, etc. (8/6/2007)
Response: I look forward to speaking with you. Would you like to chat this evening or in the morning? This evening is fine for me... (8/6/2007)
Response: Too late here. got to get up at 5:30. I'll give you a ring tomorrow Mike (8/6/2007)
Response: Alright, talk to you later. (8/6/2007)
