Hi- thank you for answering my auction request. What happens if there is damage to the piece? Also, do you contact me with a delivery time? Finally, I would prefer if you could deliver this item on the 30th of August, since we are planning to be at this Florida location for a very brief amount of time. Again, I appreciate your time.

Hello Susan. We would most likely pick up on the 23rd, but I could let you know by Monday. Delivery would most likely be on the 31st, but if we finish quicker in Miami, we may deliver on the 30th. I could let you know for certain by the end of next week. When we first started with U-Ship, we had cargo insurance, but we didn't need to use it for almost a year. When we finally needed to use it, due to technicalities we couldn't receive compensation for the damage. Since we specialize in antique restoration and have decades of carpentry experience, we just fixed the piece ourselves and have been covering damage items ourselves for years. Drivers are responsible for paying for replacement and/or repairs, which keeps them on their toes. We rarely have issues, and when we do, we handle them promptly--unlike insurance companies that drag their feet for months and fight as hard as possible to not pay out or pay out as less as possible.
