Question: Thanks for the bid request. We could pu on the 28th and deliver within your parameters. We are a full service moving co. out of NH. The truck is leaving this morning, we could pu piano today if you get right back to me. Just need a little more info on the 144" desk. Is it all one piece or does it come apart? How is the access coming out of and going into the buildings? Thanks, Gus @ Storti Moving (11/26/2007)

Response: Gus,
I'd need a quote on the piano before I could commit and I only want to do it if it is part of the whole job.
The 144" desk is 3 pieces:
1- top= 144" x 27" x 1.25"
2- file base= roughly 20" x 30" x 24"
3- file base= roughly 36" x 30" x 24"
the pickup is a shop with easy access. no dock, but back into bay. covered in case of rain.
drop-off is a residence. one half-flight onto porch then one full flight upstairs. I was there a few weeks ago and mocked-up the desk top to make sure it fits. It does, but needs to go through a porch window at bottom of stairs. I can handle it alone in the shop and two guys could easily handle it to get it upstairs.
All drawers come out easily if you want to make the bases lighter. The application form did not ask for dimensions for the bookshelves, but I have them all if you want them.
Thanks

Response: Hi Josh, the piano would be $550. We can pu in 1.5 to 2 hrs. The items back would be $900. Let me know how this sounds and we can set it up asap. Thanks, Gus @ Storti Moving (11/26/2007)

Response: Gus,
The piano is in a house which is rented to tennants and I don't think I could arrange it that fast. Unfortunately, we will have to wait on it. But, it is there and we are not in a hurry for it so perhaps you could do it on another trip when you are going from around there to around here?
900 for all the rest? you will blanket-wrap and deliver upstairs? This is all pre-finished and new cherry. I am impressed with your positive feedback but a little nervous having not met / used you in the past. 900 is a bit less than I was expecting (I'm not complaining) but I just want to make sure you will move this carefully. I also want to make sure you understand the scope:
(10 pieces total, one box, two packs adjustable shelves, a couple other random parts i.e. pieces of trim)
If so, I'm ready to commit and look forward to meeting you.
Are you flexible with the pick-up date (could it be a day later?)
Josh (11/26/2007)

Response: Hi josh, we can still dom the piano for $550 @ some other point for you. I kind of based the other price on getting all this at once, so I would like to get $1050 for the shipment coming back if thats ok. I will change my bid. Do you know Bob Gasperetti or Bill Laberge? Maybe Charles Shackleton? I have been doing high end furniture delivery for 20 years 48 states. Vt. Furn. Guild uses me. You won't be disappointed I assure you. Thanks, Gus @ Storti Moving (11/26/2007)

Response: gus,
I am new to town and don't know any of those guys. I just moved here from Colorado.
Lets do it, we'll do the piano later. My next job is also going to souther Vermont and we can do it then.
flexibility on the pickup date?
Josh (11/26/2007)

Response: Yes there is flexibility on the piano, because we are only 1.5 hours from there so we can meet you over there and get it. If you accept my bid we will get each others info and can talk. Thanks, Gus (11/26/2007)
