Questions for this shipment:

Question: We are planning a shipment to California on August 15th. We would like to take several shipments at once, to reduce the cost for everyone. We would pickup all items needing to be shipped on August 15th. We would leave on the 16th, and arrive no later then August 18th. All items will be delivered on the 18th, or 19th. With our service, there will be 2 movers using a 14' Ford E350 box truck/moving truck. We would be able to haul your vehicle with a trailer for only $950. Insurance is available. All arrangements must be made by August 8th (8/1/2005)
Response: Hi, That time frame is right but I have questions. In your bio you state that insurance isn't offered, is this something new you are doing? I've noticed that you have responded to several others, but you do not yet have feedback, are you new to the business or just new to uship? I do not have a vehicle, is this the only way you ship? (8/1/2005)
Question: Cargo insurance is offered. Moving Professionals is new to Uship, therefore we have a 0 feedback. We have been in the moving/hauling busines for over 1 1/2 years. We have made several moves and deliveries for repeat customers on other websites. Our company has 14' box truck, and 24' box truck, which we use for shipping. Both trucks have a hitch, and can easily pull a car trailer or closed trailer. (8/1/2005)
Question: Hi! This is a quote specific to you, not just a formatted letter we send to everyone on uship like your other bidders. I'd like to give you a solid number, but I have only very general information. It sounds like you do need some packing, at least for the furniture, and I can only guess at the weight and dimensions on the boxes and furniture, but I can safely say we can transport everything safely and insured for between $1200 and $1800. If you can give me the specific dimensions, even just a general idea, I can bind myself to a specific quote. Also, I would need to know your location, and maybe the details about the buildings on either end. Thanks! (8/3/2005)
Question: I could pick up on the 15th and deliver by the 19th for $1125. Any stairs? How is the access to both pickup and drop off locations? I am also new to uship and will have possitive feedback shortly. Mark (8/7/2005)
Question: I could probably give you a better deal if you would write back before I run out of space. Could pick up on the 14th or 15th. Mark (8/8/2005)
Response: Hi Mark, Thank you for contacing me. The apartment in ny is a 3rd floor walk up. I will not know the address of the destination until the 15th. I do not have a problem with the pick up being on the 15th but it would have to be in the evening. The 16th would be even better. Is insurance available? Would there be a contract stating the final price? What do you take for payment? Thanks - Paula (8/8/2005)
Question: If I could be there on the evening of the 14th would that be better for you? I have already committed to be in Mass. first thing Monday morning. Insurance ,yes. As long as you could get me destination info before I get there that is no problem. I will have help loading, but possibly not unloading. I can get everything at delivery by myself if I don't have to go up stairs. I have all the dollies and carts to move heavy pieces.Mark (8/8/2005)
Question: Sorry, forgot to reply about payment options. I would prefer to receive Cashiers check or money orders. cash being the least desirable method but would be okay if that is what you want. I would prefer half at pickup and half at delivery. What would be best for you? Mark (8/8/2005)
Question: After we make a deal, I will place a bid, you will accept it and then we have access to each others contact info and you can print a copy of the contract. Mark (8/8/2005)
Response: Hi Mark, I will not be available on the 14th, as I mentioned before the 15th would be the earliest, and the later in the day the better. Let me know if this is possible. (8/8/2005)
Question: I guess I could come back after Mass. which would be backtracking, but if that is best for you I would be back between noon and 4pm. How late were you thinking? Will there be any trouble getting to the apartment? Back ally access or parking garage? If garage, what is the height limit? Special parking permits? If so, how do I go about getting one? Mark (8/8/2005)
Response: I live on a side street in NYC, you would need to double park. Around 2:00 would be nice. Would there be an extra fees in addition to the price you have given? How do I get insurance? What time would you deliver to S.F about? You mentioned that you would not have a helper upon delivery, will you still help move the 'load' into the apartment? (8/8/2005)
Question: The only other costs I would like you to pay are the tolls, and any parking fees I incurr going in and out of the city. I can provide you with my receipts coming in, and from that we will have a good idea of the costs leaving. Are you willing to cover these? You would need to check with you insurance agent to get your own insurance. I should be in SF on 8/19. I look forward to hearing back from you. Mark (8/9/2005)
Response: I do not have a problem paying tolls and parking in nyc - there shouldn't be any parking costs - as I mentioned before you will need to double park. I was under the impression that you would supply insurance, I'm not sure how this works - I will need to check on it. I just wanted to ask again, once you deliver the shipment you will be able to help unload right? I will not have anyone there to help me so this is important. I do not mind helping, but I can not lift furniture on my own. (8/9/2005)
Question: I would be more than willing to unload when we get there. Not sure if my helper, who will be with me to load, will be there with me to unload. If it can be moved on a dolly I can handle most anything by myself. Might need a little help keeping it steady going over steps or rough areas. This will be no problem. I will put your stuff wherever you want it and set it in place for you. If anything were to happen and damages did occur I would make a claim on my homeowners insurance or just pay you for it. I have moved more than 25 families in the past few years including my motherinlaw 3 times in the last 3 years and never has anything been broken. I also move pianos. Have done around 30 moves , mostly grands, and never have we even scratched one. We are extremely careful. 2pm will be okay. About the exact time getting to SF. Not exactly sure. I have a drop in MO. and NV. and if the people meet me to deliver their loads when they have said they would then I should be there by the 19th. I am fle (8/9/2005)
Response: sounds like a deal, please bid when you are ready. (8/9/2005)
Question: Just notice my last message was cut off. I was saying that I am flexible and will be happy to wait for someone to get off of work or finish other business to meet me. Mark (8/9/2005)
Response: thank you for your patience. I am ready to accept a bid (8/9/2005)
