Additional Information: I have a 32 ft 88 starfire motorhome that needs to be moved from Louisville Ky to Montrose Ga engine problems prevent it being driven as well as a flat inside tire , could possibly be towed behind vehicle with towbar if front bumper removed but I do not have a tow bar. Vehicle is approx 9 1/2 ft tall all fiberglass, with tandem rear axles, front axle to rear axle is around 19 ft weight listed on similar models in 14,500 it has basically no interior but has a bunch of stacked chairs stored inside. so I would expect that weight would be less than specified I do not have a trailer suitable for towing it I don't believe it can be towed on a front wheel dolly because of the low ground clearance at the rear. point to point is around 575miles it is not registered at this time Report a Violation

Questions for this shipment:

Question: Sir, I have the tow bar. Can you give me the measurement of the frame? As it stands right now I could possiblly do this on the 27th. Will have to check when time gets closer. Thanks, Ol' Sarge. (3/19/2007)
Response: I measured as best I could with bumper still in place bumper mounts or frame are about 49" center to center, each mount is about 3" wide by 4" tall with 2 bolts holding bumper bracket I added a diagram to the original ad (3/19/2007)
Question: I need to know the wieght within 1000lbs to know weather I can haul or not (3/19/2007)
Response: I can not find GVW listed on it anywhere. I have no way of weighing it. (3/19/2007)
Question: Sir, Thanks for the answer on the frame. That helps greatly. Ol' Sarge (3/20/2007)
Question: Sir, Will try this again. Can you have the bumper off & drive shaft removed before I get there? If so I'm submitting a new bid. Thanks, Ol' Sarge. (3/20/2007)
Response: I am currently in Ga but may be able to have someone remove the bumper and driveshaft the bid still higher than I was looking for (3/20/2007)
Question: Shipper, you do NOT want to have this TOWED. If the ties are bad and blow, they will damage the fiberglass on the side of your rv. Have it put on a trailer, pay the extra 100 bucks, and save yourself a thousand in the long run. 525 Transport. (3/20/2007)
Response: I'm not sure I understand your statement about ties I was hoping to have the unit either put on a low trailer or flat towed with a towbar not sure where ties are involved. were you interested in transporting it? (3/21/2007)
Question: I meant tires, somehow, I didnt see that the R didnt come thru.. I have a trailer that would handle the weight, but not the length to accomadate a second load to make the trip profitable. Thanks 525 Transport (3/21/2007)
Question: Hi! If you could give Year, Make & Model, perhaps could determine Weight on the Internet. Good luck with your move! (3/24/2007)
Response: It is an 88 EMC Starfire. I have done a search on net and found same model listed with a GVW of 14,500# however it was complete mine has been gutted so it should weigh less (3/24/2007)
Question: Hello can it be pulled by a tow dolly? (3/24/2007)
Response: I am not sure if a tow dolly would work there is very little ground clearance at rear. on the rear frame the factory mounted steel roller wheels to prevent the back from dragging when hitting dips and such the rollers are only about 4" off the ground (3/25/2007)
Question: What kind of time frame do you have? I have a 38 ft flat bed 22" deck height 80" between wheel wells. I beleave those are on ford 1 ton frames? I have haul many motor homes and sure I can this one......Thanks Jimstow (3/24/2007)
Response: I am somewhat open on timeframe but would prefer it moved within a couple weeks Thanks (3/25/2007)
Question: I'm looking to put another run to Florida around the 15th and would haul it for 650.00 plus uship fees...Jimstow (3/25/2007)
Response: I forgot to answer other part of your 1st question I believe it is a ford 350 or 450 frame. any idea how much the uship fees would be? (3/25/2007)
Question: About 64.00 ..7.9% of 650.00 (3/25/2007)
Response: if you will post a bid I will consider it and decide within a day or 2 will this be ok? (3/25/2007)
Question: Boy am I sharp 7.9 % x 650.00 is not 64.00 I was thinking 8% x 800.00 (3/25/2007)
Response: I knew once I saw the % rate that it was off what will be required to load it on the trailer? this unit will start and drive on a limited basis but I drained the oil out last week when I noticed water mixed in with it and removed the battery I can put oil in if necessary to make loading easier (3/25/2007)
Question: As long as I can get in front of it you won't have to do any thing ,I have ramps and a winch. I use a rollback tow truck and a 38 ft. 2 car trailer, Hope this helps......Jimstow (3/25/2007)
