Question: what are you estimating the weight of EVERYTHING? thanks, CS Truckin
(6/7/2008)

Response: Now that is a good question. My husband should be better at "guesstimating" because he knows what equip he plans to send. There are scales near here (about 10 miles) at Hwy 54 Salvage. How long is your flatbed? I will get back to you tomorrow with weight estimate. (6/8/2008)

Response: the gentleman below is mistaken, as long as you are transporting the large RV and small equiptment, what you put inside is none of our business. The reason someone may tell you that, is household movers tend to charge A LOT more. Good luck and please let me know what the est weight will be. Thanks, CS Truckin (6/8/2008)

Response: Hello, I thought he(Jeremiah) was you. Thank you for this information. I don't know if you can see my answer to him but I explained that we are going to find out the weight of the RV from the original dealer. The boxed items inside are well-packed and will be secured to prevent shifting. The RV has been gutted of it's original fixtures, appliances and furniture. I'm thinking the boxes should weigh pretty close (+/-) to the original interior weight. Do you have any idea what a 33' bumper pull RV usually weighs?
Please get back to me. Thanks, Nancy Turner (6/8/2008)

Response: so this is a travel trailer, not a motorized rv, correct? if its only a 33 ft trailer, weight shouldn't be over 8-10k lbs, which is no problem for our equptment. can you do me a favor & give me ground clearance of the trailer, as well as the width of the tires, (outside to outside). Thanks again, cody (6/8/2008)

Response: ANY NEW THOUGHTS FOR ME??? DID YOU GET THE MEASUREMENTS I SENT YESTERDAY?
(6/9/2008)

Response: I have received the demensions, just trying to figure out a fair price for bothh parties, what were you hoping to get this moved for, price wise? thanks again (6/9/2008)

Response: Of course I am hoping it won't break the bank. It is 700 miles. The last time I had any horses hauled long distance, diesel was still under $2.00 per gallon and the average shipping cost then was 50 cents per mile. I am guessing that shipping charges have tripled or quadrupled since then. Where are you based? Are you trying to coordinate this on an empty eastbound load? Would $2.00 a loaded mile be fair or ridiculous?

Response: Good evening, we are based out of Amarillo Texas and after looking at this very carefully, I have come up with this. Since the trailer must be winched up onto my trailer due to the non-road worthiness, as well as unloading using my equiptment, $2/mile will be close, but not quite enough. I was hoping for 2400, but can meet in the middle for 2000 and I will split site costs of aprox 7.9% which comes out to a total bid of 2087.41. How does that sound? And this bid will be good till 6-22-08 due to drastic fuel changes, Im sure you know what I'm talking about. Please let me know what you think, as we would love your business. Thanks, CS Truckin (6/9/2008)

Response: Sounds good...It's a deal. Your driver will have no problem on either end as for space to manuever his rig. Would you like a picture of the trailer where it sits presently? Also, how much leftover room will be available on the flatbed after the RV is loaded? Let me know as soon as possible when you plan to pick up so I can plan to take a load and meet the driver in Swink. I will need a couple of days yet because my husband is currently out of town and won't be home until tomorrow evening. We had a horrendous hail storm 2 weeks ago that broke out the back window that he still has to repair. This site won't allow me to give you a phone number. Do you have a website where I could look up your number? Thanks much! Nancy Turner (6/10/2008)

Response: we could leave amarillo early friday morning, load up friday afternoon and deliver saturday or sunday whenever we get unloaded. does that work in your schedule? (6/10/2008)

Response: Yes, I think I can make that work. I've been out there securing things and balancing the weight. Bob has to be gone again this Saturday so Friday will work. I want him here when you load 'cause he will be better help than me. Besides, I'll probably leave Friday morning so I can be there to guide you out to the place. How now do we arrange a contract? I've never used this site before so I am not sure what I need to do next. Nancy Turner (6/10/2008)

Response: Just a little FYI, after looking at all the demensions we will have to back your travel trailer onto my trailer via truck, then we may need to remove tires and sit it on cynder blocks due to height issues. As long as that is not a problem, please accept bid below, that allows us to exchange contact info as well as speak in person as well as you send photos to us to ensure a smooth transaction. Cody (6/10/2008)

Response: this question has been answered (6/18/2008)

Question: Hello. I am based in Phoenix. I am a legal and fully insured hauler. I have a 40' flat deck trailer that can accommodate your shipment. HOWEVER you are putting Household items and for most hauler this is a problem as there is different guidelines and rules that govern moving of house hold items. Let me know if interested and what the other items are and there weight/dimensions. Thanks. Jeremiah (6/8/2008)

Response: Hello, I apologise for not responding sooner. I had accepted a bid from another hauler who cancelled me. The RV is a 1986 35' (including the tongue) that has been gutted of it's original appliances and furnishings. The origianl weight on the title was 6315 lbs. I have been putting boxed household items and some small furniture in it. I do not know the actual weight but there are scales closeby. My husband is thinking about making it road worthy again and pulling however we would still look at bids. Are you still interested? (6/17/2008)

Response: Hello. I could still do this. What would your time frame be? It would run $2250 for the job. Let me know. Thanks. Jeremiah (6/18/2008)

Response: I have got to know if you can take this job. The time frame is somewhat flexible but we are in limbo here until we here back from you. I will keep checking my email this morning but if I have not heard from you by 3 pm today, my husband will go ahead and start making the necessary repairs to pull it ourselves. Don't want to sound pushy, just HAVE to know how to plan here. PLEASE respond. This is my 4th message back to you. Nancy (6/19/2008)

Response: I can try and get this done before the 4th of July weekend or I can do it right after. I would probably like to do it after the 4th as I have a shipment in TN and your move would put me in that direction. Let me know. Thanks. Jeremiah (6/19/2008)

Response: Good morning Jeremiah,
I was reading my USHIP listing this morning and realized I needed to edit. I have removed the horse panels and small farm equipment because we have already hauled most of those items already. You will only be taking the RV if that is all you have room for. Our only farm item left to deal with is a 600 gallon farm diesel tank. If you can take it that would be great, if not we will figure it out. We are anxious to enter a contract with you. Are you ready to bid it for us? Nancy (6/21/2008)
