Additional Information: We are a military family my husband is n New Orleans helping with katrina and I need help . I need someone to pick up shipment at a military storage and deliver at my home and unload and bring in house. Hired a man from a company and he had truck problems and could not do the move...help please... Report a Violation

Question: Hello,...We noticed your shipment and may be able to assist. You basically need these items out by monday as we see but it is of such short notice. We have a few questions...How many bedrooms did your house contain?? How many boxes do you have ?? When does this need to be delivered ?? (7/25/2006)
Response: Its a short notice because i hired a guy and then he had mechanical problems and he has notified me that he will be unable no to move my stuff . I only have 1 full bedroom but a metal office bed the rest of my stuff is mostly 2 living areas with large credenza and large italian bar which is in sections. these are crates large military crates not boxes (7/25/2006)
Question: Also,..will we be shipping crates or actual furniture ?? Or do we have to empty the crates and then load the furniture ????....Suzie @ MTG Transit (7/25/2006)
Response: these are crates but they are full of my furniture...I don't care how you have it done but its already packed by furniture professionals to protect my furniture ....so I prefer it stay in crates but there are some crates that have clothes and smaller stuff if those crates you want to break down thats up to you. but understand this a military storage so I won't be there only there office personel. I'm in Tennesse. (7/25/2006)
Question: Question ?? What size truck did you use to transport these items into storage ?? I'm asking so I would know which truck to send on this shipment...Suzie @ MTG Transit (7/25/2006)
Response: I didn't transport it the military did and all I know is that these crates are guessing about 8x8x9 some are 10ft long because i have a bed that is 10ft in length on the head boad and the wardrobe is 10ft. these goods were brought to virginia by ship then transported on flatbed trucks but I don't know how many or how it was done I wasn't there...sorry I do know the trucks were about 18ft...this is alot of stuff 8940lbs....to be exact... Question: I also see that you have forklift needed for pickup and delivery...Do they have a forklift available at the base ans if they do I'm guessing that one would need to be at the delivery location also if I'm correct. Can you elaborate with me on this??....Suzie @ MTG Transit (7/25/2006)
Response: I don't know what is available at the storage facility or if they have a loading dock....I can get the number to call and ask them though. This has been crazy for us because we didn't even know where our stuff was for 14 months...it was lost I can rent a bobcat when it arrives in tennesse if needed or will remburse you if you need to rent one for virginia..I just wont to get my stuff i've been waiting for 2 yrs and have had to pray that God help me because i've gotten frustrated with the military ...because they owed us a move...I hope this helps... Question: If you can,...find out the status with the shipments and we will do our part on this end. I am so sorry about the hardships you and your family endured throughout that process and hopefully we can bring a brighter day. After reviewing the shipment, we will have to implicate a rate of $4565. As far as the Bobcat goes,...I will wait to hear from on that subject. Response: right now i can find out all I can but your bid is about 1000.00-1500.00 more than all the previous bids i had before and I really need to stay around 3500 if possible if not i'm gonna put myself in a finacial bind..I will if I have too but I really need to see if I can get it less...I hope you understand (7/25/2006)
Question: We respect your target price but we have to compensate for our overhead . If we may be able to fluctuate around the $4000 mark if possible but that is the least we can possibly go for our premium services....Suzie @ MTG Transit (7/26/2006)
Response: Thank you and I understand but with what this one drive already did ...i'm having to fight for my 1500 dollars back...I just cant do it right now..maybe if all else fails ...I will borrow if I can't get it done cheaper...thank you... (7/26/2006)

Response: Hi ..Thank you for your offer thats so nice of you and your helpers but honey this cargo crates the kind they send on ships it would take 6 or 7 ryder trucks to haul them thats why I need a semi or flat bed to haul them...I would if I could trust me i'da already moved it myself if I could have done it with a ryder trust me..Thank you though...
