Question: Hello, Jazzyrunner05 here. I will be in your area from the 13th to the 18th on my way from San Francisco to Staten Island, and then returning going through your area. Do you have any heavy items like a fridge, large sofa, big dressers, entertainment center, ect.? Would there be someone to assist with the larger items at each end? I will be using my 24' open flat deck trailer, and service truck with a steel cap over a tool box bed. I have furniture carts, furniture dollies, and plenty of blankets, and pads. Have the best day that you can. Thanks, John (9/1/2007)

Response: Fridge, large tv and a sofa are the heavy items. No big beds/mattresses/dressers. Need to be moved by 9/11, think your dates a bit too late. Thanks, Nancy (9/1/2007)

Response: Hello Nancy, Most likely the soonest I could get there would be the 13th, or 14th. I will be in San Francsico on the 5th, Stockton/Sacramento on the 6th, and Reno on the 7th. From there it is going to take me at least five days with my other stops along the way to reach you in Derry. Your book it now rate seems fair, if you could wait a couple of extra days...Well, we will just have to see how it goes. I may be early, and then everything will work out fine. Anyway, have the best day that you can. Thnaks, John (9/1/2007)

Question: Wow, he really wants to haul your stuff on an open trailer??? I will provide a 24 ft moving truck, please see my bid below, and all my feedback. How big is this big tv? Thx, Bob/Washburn Moving/Newark Del. (9/1/2007)

Response: With a 24ft moving truck, would require two trips. Is the quote still valid? Thanks, Nancy (9/1/2007)

Response: My wife volunteers at a horse rescue in Warwick Md. I will ask her this evening if she knows who does their hauling. I don't have the patience she does, to fool with horses. (9/1/2007)

Response: I am getting the quote for moving the horses for my friend who is moving from Derry, Pa to Thomasville, PA. She runs Lifelines Farm & Sanctuary - http://lifelinesfarmsanctuary.com/default.aspx
Thanks, Nancy (9/1/2007)

Response: I do not think this will take 2 trips in a 24 ft truck, if your listing is correct. It would be helpful if you would use the menu under household moves, that gives a complete listing of items. 24 ft truck will hold about 6 total rooms. Your other guy suggests a 26 ft, and most of the so called 26 ft trucks (U-Haul type) are really 22 ft on the floor, with an overhang over the cab. This is the equivalent of a full 24 ft truck. Bid is valid for 1 trip in 1 truck, but the way I read your listing, it is enough. If not an extra trip would be available at extra $$$, but I doubt that would be needed. (9/1/2007)

Response: Estimated size is 40'x20'x6' (L, W, H). This was included with the bid. Thanks, Nancy (9/1/2007)

Response: This was estimated by whom? A 53 ft trailer holds approx 3500 cubic ft, 40 x 20x6 is 4800 which means you would need a 53 ft trlr + a 24 ft truck. I am not sure this is correct, if this is a normal house you are moving. Please count the number of rooms for me, counting a one car garage as 1 room. You have living room dining room, how many bedrooms??????please work up a total, OR relist this under household moves with a COMPLETE listing. If this is 4800 cubic feet, then your estimated weight of 3,000 lbs is WAY off. Thx, please let's get this done quickly, as we are running out of time. I'll get back to you tomorrow. Thx, Bob (9/1/2007)

Response: Size is fairly accurate, weight is a guess. Go by the size not the weight. thanks, Nancy (9/1/2007)

Response: Do not contact anyone directly, it is a violation of uship rules. Bid holds at $1995.00 per the first truck load. Others could be negotiated. I cannot believe more than one would be needed, but I HAVE been wrong before. (9/2/2007)

Response: A professional mover took inventory and said two trucks that size would be needed and 4 guys loading. Thus the reason i now ask for a quote with two trucks... (9/2/2007)

Question: Hi Nancy, I am based in New Castle and have a 20ft, custom built trailer. Since the load and delivery points are so close to me I can offer this, I will dedicate 2 days to your move and will make the trips necessary to get it done within your time frame. On the 1st day I will have at least one helper with me, after that I will determine labor needs. Total price would be $1850.00. Youv'e gotten cheaper quotes, but who else is offering this? Please respond ASAP so formal bid can be placed. Thanks, Joe. (9/3/2007)
