Questions for this shipment:

Question: Hi, we are NYC Piano Movers and we will be making that trip around the last week of August. Our price would be $460 if the scheduling works out. Thank you, John -- nycpianomovers (8/5/2006)
Response: no thx, found another to do the run to wisconsin. I have another job to run chairs from SF area Las Vegas, description updated to show that now. (8/7/2006)
Question: While I don't have another run to make an SFO to Lost Wages run pay, if you can hold and group your suggested larger load, I would be happy to offer a bid later. Otherwise, moving your chairs will cost a $1.00 per mile, however if you will read my profile you might want to pay for my "White Glove" executive level services after all. (8/8/2006)
Response: Larger load is fine since I'm not in any hurry. Yes, we are willing to pay up for your white glove service. (8/8/2006)
Question: I read your profile and the reason I mentioned waiting; if possible, is if you are tranfering inventory that is not needed ASAP; even as most of my clients are more than willing to pay my rates for a chair or two, I like to point out that they can save a little $$$ if they pool their shipped items. As you may have noticed within my profile, I transport hi-value items ranging into the millions of dollars; to include signing NDAs for corporate moves, and so your property will be well cared for once it is placed into my hands. Whatever your pleasure is, I can probably make you smile at the end of the day. (8/8/2006)
Response: Sounds like you are the right person to help us move some items here that Plycon Vanlines has bid on. My problem with them is that they gave me a 14 day window for delivery. When you pickup, would you be able to pin down a day for delivery ? (8/8/2006)
Question: In general aside from any unforseen delays; of which there have been very few during my last year, my quotes have been on-time to the day and/or even to a previously agreed to hour; as needed, without fail. However I try to keep things reasonable too and yet, a requested overnight 500 mile delivery is possibly, as has been 1,000 in 24-hrs. too at "Extra Cost". (8/8/2006)
Response: Sounds great. A one day drive/delivery is not important to me, but I do want a day to expect your delivery and the wait time to be reasonable. From my view, 14 days is not a reasonable window. With this in mind, I think I'd like to hire you to move some of the bigger furniture pieces and some boxes in an initial run. It will take me a little time to count and describe more precisely so that you can do the quote. I'm new to the uship arena so I guess I'll need to do that then use their system to request a bid from you. (8/8/2006)
Question: Yes... uShip needs to be kept in the loop here. However there are times when I am also hired simply based upon a full; or part, load rate and then I only take into account the number of miles, plus whatever pick up and delivery cost are involved before offering a quote. My custom trailer is 22' long X 8' and is well outfitted with many different strapping systems, 4' high moving barriers, professional level blankets and various other needed furniture dollies too. BTW - If it ever took me 14-days to cover just 500 miles or so, you can bet that I may have done it by pulling myself along the highway with my eye lids over broken glass, with a 50,000 lb. load on my back and even than, I think I could do a lot better than 14-days; come~on. (8/8/2006)
Response: sorry you could not do this run for me - I was ready to hand off 3 parts of what i'm doing for the run. Let me know when you are goig again. (8/11/2006)
Question: HELLO WE are in N CA the week of 08/18-19 Door to door relocation of these in a 30' enclosed moving truck.....full blanket wrap ,,,$400.00 Randy (8/8/2006)
Question: WoW!!! You're working late, I'll respond tomorrow on my way south... smile (8/9/2006)
Question: I will be making a trip through your area inroute to Vegas on the 12th and 13th of Aug. I hjave an enclosed 1-ton cargo van. Your items would be very safe, as we are vacationing and not carrying other items. I realize I do not not have feedback to offer, but my Ebay feedback is 100%. We do not smoke. (8/9/2006)
Response: can't hand these fragile things over to someone wtih zero feedback here. You could bid the two other jobs together, 2woffice and the earlist listed job I have from palo alto to LV. Ideally I want someone to do that first then one load of fragile stuff shortly after that in a week or so. will you be doing more than one run in the upcoming month? (8/10/2006)
Question: Hello, I am the bid with the van, not carrying other items. If you would like to check my ebay feedback, my user name is: cjhchsa (which is the initials of our grandchildren)[contact information removed] That should help you. Also my brother just payed for an U-Ship shipment this morning that I sold to him, so you could check with his shipper if you would like. We are running short on time, so please let me know as soon as possible. "per uShip rules contact information cannot be posted" - uShip (8/9/2006)
Question: Hi Jean. I cannot locate the listing for the books to bid on. I can't find anything like that listed on 8-3 (8/10/2006)
Question: Jean, I cancelled the piano bid, and ready to go ahead with my bid for the books. (8/10/2006)
Response: your bid expired and I was ready to make a choice. so this is not going forward. If your bid was active I would have picked you, but I needed to move forward. sorry this did not match. I will have another job next week if you are doing this again. (8/11/2006)
Question: GUYS. THIS PERSON IS JUST STROKING US ALL THEY HAVE NO JOB TO DO , PROBABLY ARE JUST LONELY WITH NOTHING TO DO. READ ALL THE POST. JUST ONE EXCUSE AFTER THE OTHER.A REAL FLAKE. (8/11/2006)
Response: wrong again - have chosen a company that bid here on one of the jobs. You may not realize this but your dialog here is not going to be attractive to others seeking a carrier, so while you may find insulting me entertaining, you might want to think about the fact that you might be also scaring people off who might want to pay you. I pay lotsa money to fed ex and plycon every year and hope to find a couple of companies to do runs for me this month. Your posts are so hostile I would be completely afraid to do business with you guys. I also see you have similar comments on other people's jobs, not just mine. (8/11/2006)
Question: You know, you are making me feel badly here as I had a chance to chat with a PlyCon driver in Corning, CA yesterday and looked over his equipment too… and about that I’ll just say here… “It was a very hot day” … (smile) and move on. The only way that I can help you is to say too, if I get a part cancellation on my next run south around mid-next week that is really the best I can do… Sorry. FYI: I actually have 23 other bookings that are either 100% pre-paid / full loads between now and Jan 1, 07. or I have also taken 10% to 50% security deposits. (8/11/2006)
Response: thx for writing back. Sure, let me know if you can do one of my upcoming runs. To be fair, those folks have never once damaged anything they moved for me, to or from LV, not one ding or scratch, so I give them credit there. But the last crew nearly broke the entire back off the last antique chair they moved for me out of California here before they got it onto their truck. The last thing I need is a gorilla tossing my stuff around. At that moment I decided I had to shop around more for another experienced handler and have been snooping around this site ever since. (8/11/2006)
Question: Mr. Shipper, please the name of the carrier that is accusing you of stroking so all can see. Then other shippers can see also. thanks (8/11/2006)
Response: http://f3.yahoofs.com/users/41e4cc9ez4684c6ef/898dscd/__sr_/9f6cscd.jpg?phY4d3EBKFFV_F5B (8/12/2006)
Question: I never said anything bad about them, but I don't think I would have hired; at least this crew, on a sub-contract bases with my name on it... that's all. As for needing a 100% professional, I'll let my profile do the talking here with some moves being valued up to $4M. Have a Great Weekend... I am off to Idaho's north country. (8/11/2006)
