Questions for this shipment:

Question: We could probably come close to your target price if you could answer a couple of questions for us. Can it be transported without the pallet? Is a single car open trailer okay with you for transporting? Thanks! Chris (5/23/2007)
Response: Oh, i saw your pic with the red pick-up & the trailer that is hauling a VW BUS? i think it might work . i didn't realize how big your trailer was. if the crate can slide up the trailer,[or lifted...its only 300lbs] & you use ratchet straps to loop through the bottom of the crate [where a forklift would go] & tighten it to your trailer...yes, it would work. this would be a 2 man job to scoop the crate on your trailer. you could also strap some blocks or chocks to prevent the crate from sliding off the trailer. although it is a scooter, it is a 1948 Salsbury scooter . they are rare & i restore these things, so i want it to be crated to prevent damage. i hope this information helps. thanks, john (5/23/2007)
Question: Ahh, yep that'd work great (VERY cool scooter also!), our concern was that if it was like a 4x8 crate, it'd be too wide - we're moving a '57 Ford from California to Arizona which would be on the trailer for part of the journey. They should both fit easily. Our trailer also has tie downs on the side, like a flatbed semi truck, so securing it will be no problem. We have moved crated parts before and it has worked very well. If the crate isn't weatherproof we could cover it with a tarp also. We'll put in a bid for $350, would that work for you? Thanks! (5/24/2007)
