Question: Hi do you have any idea what your target price is and when this needs to be done by? (11/8/2008)

Response: I am told that the average cost of sending this sized boat this distance is about $2500 so I do not want to pay above the average. Subject to me cloosing the purchase I would want the delivery to take place in the last 2 weeks of this month or possibly the 1st week december at the very latest (11/8/2008)

Question: Is the width correct? If so then the average price uship told you is wrong. If it is 12' and under then it would be pretty close. Over 12' takes a pilot car and that increases the price alot. Jim (11/8/2008)

Response: Ok let me have your best bid please I only got that figure off the internet and they did not ask for a width only a length so you are probably correct. I have had two bids and both are over the average figure I was given (11/8/2008)

Question: According to specs, this boat has a 12'3" beam. An escort is required in NC and FL. (11/8/2008)

Response: I think it is 12 ft 2 inch beam but this may still need an escort? I don't know you are the expert. If it needs an escort then what form does that take Police? (11/8/2008)

Response: No it is just a civilian escort. They are getting a rate of $1.25 to $1.50 per mile. Their cost is included in my bid. (11/8/2008)

Response: My husband has called to say that when the boat was new it was delivered by the boatbuilder without an escort. He has measured the widest part at 12 feet and the transome is nearer 9 We look forward to your quotation. We would be lookig to move the boat to have it delivered around 11th December (11/10/2008)

Response: The year of our boat is 2003 but the dimensions will be identical to the one you already shipped. No escort was used when the boat was delivered to NC from the manufacturer in FL when new. The only variation for shipping is this boat is twin screw and still has keel but draft is 6inches less than single screw. We closed the purchase yesterday and need boat collecting week commencing Dec 8th and delivery must arrive 11th or 12th December not before or after. We will not be in USA until evening of 9th Dec. Question: above all other questions before accepting a bid be sure that the transporter knows what this boat is, not every boat transporter can fit this style of boat on their trailer it has a full keel bottom, their is a picture of one I moved in my profile. I would like to know when you would like to move this and what year is the vessel? The one I moved was an '05 it spec'd at 12'3" or 12'2" but actual measurement was 12' so should be able to do without an escort, are you near the boat where you can get and "actual" measurement for yourself at the widest point which should be right in front of the cabin at the rub rail, being 12' and under will save you significant cash as mentioned before. Response: The boat is 12ft at its widest and was delivered new by road without an escort by the boat builder. We are looking to have it delivered on 11th December (11/10/2008)

Response: Thank you for the offer but this will be the 21st boat I have owned amongst which wasan 80ft 125 ton Trawler yacht I sailed from Phuket across the Indian ocean up the red sea through suez canal and across the Med to Barcelona so I think I can manage this tiddler!! I would prefer to rd freight as I think the cost will be lower all up plus I want to keep the engine hours down. But thank you anyway. (11/11/2008)

Question: Sorry you declined my bid, and though we have had one job accepted, the shipper was in such a hurry to return his boat to the seller he never left feedback. We try not to use this forum when possible as we have been in the business of transporting yachts since 1996. I would suggest that this vessel be carried by a tractor trailer (2 of your other bidders)and not by 1 ton pick up due to its weight and the correct bid would be 3.50 per mile. (11/18/2008)

Response: The bottom line is that this is a first for us and your 3.50 per mile is useless information as we do not know the distance. We definitely want to get the right job done and we have several bids from what appear to be competant and experienced bidders at 2200. If that price is acceptable to you then please put in that bid. We want the boat collected either the 9th or 10 th dec and delivered 11th or 12th dec. Without boring you with why the dates are important for us. (11/18/2008)
