Question: Hello, I'm driving from St. Cloud, Mn. to Grass Valley to visit family next week. (it's my hometown, I was was amazed to see it isted here on uship!) I'll be passing through MT. and could carry your dog to GV in one long day. I could pick up either Feb. 6th or 7th. Please feel free free to check my feedback. I've carried cats and dogs (though one person I carried a dog for didn't leave feedback. Getting people to leave feedback is still a problem on uship) I also have a friendly, small dog of my own. Response: Hello - In case you didn't receive my previous answer I am answering again: Yes I am interested in contracting with you to transport my dog. I would like to know what day you are traveling and your eta so I can contact the rescue group and let them know to expect you.
As I posted, the dog is sweet and friendly - but she does not come when called and you will have to be very careful to keep her leashed at all times. She will have her collar and a 'gentle leader' on to attach her leash to prior to letting her out. She has been on long road trips before and should do fine - she is also crate trained and if you have room in your car she could go into her crate (not necessary, though); Anyway, I still need to check your feedback and please let me know your travel dates and I will get back to you. Response: Hi, I will be passing through Missoula on the 6th of Feb. (which is next Weds.) most likely in the afternoon. I have a truck, and Lily can ride in front with me. No problem keeping her on a leash at all times. I have a small 20 # dog named Emma that goes everywhere with me, she's very good with other dogs (as long as I don't give them more attention than I give her) I'll be in GV by no later than Friday the 8th. Response: So far, so good. I will call the Aussie rescue group today and find out if Feb 8th works for them. One little snag - I have an exam at 1:30 on Feb 6 in Missoula. It's a licensing exam and is supposed to take less than 2 hours. It would be good if we could meet around 3:30 - 4 pm - either that or possibly late morning. Otherwise, the 6th works fine for me. We're on for the 6th - I have never used this service before so I was a bit slow in responding. I sent you my contact info and the info for the rescue group. My place is easy to find - I assume you'll be on I-90 - you just exit on Orange street and go through town, over the river and make a right on 4th street. If you pass the Food Farm market you've gone too far (that's 5th street); My house is 1.5 blocks down on the right - big white Victorian with blue trim. I would very much prefer to meet in the morning - I'll be home studying for my exam. I need to leave for the exam by 1 pm and will return around 3:15. Let me know your ETA when you get close. Thanks!
