Question: when is this shipment suppoed to be ready? (4/28/2008)
Question: Any Further Clarifications Available on This Shipment? (4/29/2008)
Response: I assume that you are coming down in the 18'box truck that you are driving down. My stuff is ready now. I was thinking about bring the light stuff down, but since you are coming down here anyway. I do have about 5 pallets of computer stuff and 6- 7' tall network racks on wheels. Total it is about 7-8 pallets of stuff. If you were to pick up they would need to have 5 pallets replaced. I can pay you for 5 pallets. You will need to bring shrink wrap and a 2-3 big boxes. The 4 laptops need to be bubble wrapped. (4/30/2008)
Response: No - that is not the vehicle we're sending. We are sending a Ford Windstar cargo van, with some other small stuff in it. We're trying to determine how much space you require, to pack your items noted. (4/30/2008)
Response: since you are coming in a smaller van. I will only ask for a quote on the smaller stuff.. 17-17" flat screen monitors about 3 lbs @, 5 computers, just the computers, 1 network box 2ft square about 20-30 lbs, 4 laptops. this is all loose, you will need 2-3 boxes to put in the 17-17" lcd's. If you bubble wrap them. (4/30/2008)
Response: OK - So we're talking about a total of 27 Items Only. Consisting of; 17 each - Flat Screen Monitors, 5 each - CPU Units/towers, 4 each- Laptops, ONE ONLY - 24" Square box weighing up to 30lbs - all items are loose, we're going to wrap/pad and provide boxes and deliver to you in Florida. Do I have it correct? If so, how does a price of $380.00 sound to you? We'd pick up between 8am-12 noon on Friday, and delivery to your florida location on Monday May 5th. (4/30/2008)
Response: the load just changed slightly. It is now 20- 17" lcds, total of 12 cpu's, desktop models only, these can be stacked, one 2ft square network box and 4-6 laptops. If you can do this for $380.00 and pick up on friday. Then this is a done deal. This is all loose and you can pick up friday in albany between 1pm -3:30 pm or 9am-11:30 am. (4/30/2008)
Response: Not a problem. Phew, glad we both are clear on it now, again I'm sorry if I asked a lot of questions, but I don't want to "bite off more than I can chew", and then get negative feedback. I'd rather not bid when uncertain. We're going to make a bid. Upon your acceptance of the bid, we will require full payment amount via credit card over the phone, or cash upon pick-up at the site in Albany where we are loading. No exceptions - Also, we are not flexible on Delivery date of Monday May 5th, as we have a confirmed appointment/obligation for the other items in our possession & transit to LARGO FLORIDA. You must be available for acceptance of delivery between 9am -5pm May 5th. (4/30/2008)
Response: no problem on the drop off in englewood fl, I am available anytime. I usually pay when items are delivered, but I have the protection on my CC so prepay will not be a problem using my cc. Do you have insurance for my items, in case of a car accident or some other unlikely disaster. (4/30/2008)
Response: I am "Commercially Insured" - see my profile. I own a lot of equipment, all DOT and Commercial Registrations - Trucks, trailers and POV's. As far as payment, there are recently a lot of reports of people not being able to pay the USHIP Contractors like myself, when the loads arrive. I guess that is a sign of the economy of late. That is a position I'm not going to allow myself to get into. I have (besides you) two other customers on this trip, both payed me up front and I have their items now. Those are the terms, again hope you understand. If your uncomfortable, I will pass, and you can select another carrier - no hard feelings. (4/30/2008)
Question: Hello Shipper - If you can clarify what your shipment is - I'm leaving the general Albny area Friday Morning, and can likely load & deliver much of your products. But you have to communicate in regard to the details of what is going? Your weights and dimensions are not matching up. (4/29/2008)
Response: 17-17" lcd monitors, 3-4 laptops and 5 computers.. how much ? (4/30/2008)
Response: are you saying 17 each - 17" Flat Screens? When you say "Computers" does that mean a CPU unit only - OR - a desktop computer with monitor, cpu, keybaord etc.... Your details are still inadequate for me to bid, although I have a van going right near you Friday Morning, thus I'm trying to determine your space requirements. (4/30/2008)
Question: Please note - I am not trying to be difficult and ask you a million questions, but since USHIP Guidelines only permit these text messages and I can't speak directly with you - I have no choice but to clarify your requirements till I fully understand them. Hope you understand. If I can support delivery of your items in my van, I'll be less than 1/2 of that current bid i see here - (4/30/2008)
