Question: good afternoon, this is a long shot, but worth a try! i will be returning from NJ this evening and could collect your sofa in new rochelle at around 8pm. while i would be happy to make delivery in RI three hours later, I am assuming that ythis unsociable hour would not be convenient. in such a scenario, i would make delivery when mutually convenient in the next few days, but by sunday 05/04 at the very latest. i could do this for $185. I am clean-cut, extremely hard-working, respectful & reliable......please see my 100% positive UShip feedback. I have $25k cargo insurance and a Motor Carriers license for legal interstate carriage. i'll submit a formal bid for your review momentarily. Best regards. Alastair (ahudson) (4/30/2008)
Response: Hi, Alastair, Yes, we would be very interested in your picking up the sofa in New Rochelle this evening at 8 pm. The delivery would need to be made on Friday in Newport. What is the next step? Thanks, Joni (4/30/2008)
Response: Excellent......next step would be for you to accept my bid. When you accept mine or someone else's bid, you will be requested to electronically submit a deposit to UShip, usually between 10% & 20%. You then pay the transporter the balance upon completion. I never see your initial deposit. It's only when you accept somebody's bid that UShip releases contact details to the other party, at which time we would communicate directly.
