Can you quote me for the following.
I work for a London based airline who fly into New York Newark. The company have offered me freight space for the mower as follows.
1. The company do not carry Dangerous goods
2. The A/C is a passenger A/C with cargo holds, size is not a problem.
3. The mower must be classified as non dangerous - the battery will be removed and although it is new it has had fuel in it which will be removed and the engine run until it stops, but is that enough?
4. Can you provide all the necessary documents and shipping certificates for the US and Homeland Security so that the mower is ready to be loaded onto the A/C?
5. The pick up point remains Wellington, OH and the mower will be crated.

I hit a problem with the gas engine and the airline not being able to carry hazardous goods so that route is closed. I'm back to the original ship by sea.
Just to reconfirm my request.
pick up mower from Wellington,OH, and ship to Felixstowe, England, where I will pick up the mower and pay UK customs, local handling etc.
The mower is crated, and if required the gas/oil can be drained and the battery disconnected.
Any questions please ask. Please advise best price.

Response: we will charge $976.87 mind you this is going in a console container. So it will take about 40 days from pick up sometime sooner all depends. It is better that all fluids and battery are disconnected but cargo is still considered hazardous (1/17/2008)
