Questions for this shipment:

Question: You claim that these bids are to high, then why don't you drive there and back-I know you'll spend more than that in gas yourself. If these bids are to high, then how much were you willing to pay? (8/7/2007)
Response: Hi, I have a buyer that gave me $200.00 for shipping the kayak and I thought I could get it to him.Obviously I can't so I am going to tell him he needs to pay me more money. Can you do it for $300.00? Let me know.Thanks..............Kelly (8/7/2007)
Response: No, I can't sorry. (8/7/2007)
Question: Shipping the Kayak alone could be done for 200. Its the trailer that is raising the price. unless it could be broken down. (8/7/2007)
Response: Thanks but I can't break down the trailer. (8/7/2007)
Question: hello, i will be in buffalo tomarrow. are the dimentions given includeing the trailer? what is the total length width and weight of trailer? i have a covered pickup but i will be towing a trailer. i can put kayak on top and trailer inside bed. if this is acceptable please let me know as soon as you can so i can place a bid before i leave tomarrow morning. will do for $275. thanks dave (8/7/2007)
Response: Dave, The dimensions do include the trailer. The kayak weighs about 50 lbs but the heavier part is the trailer.Tell me what info you need and I will wake my husband to get the answers. What time will you be in Buffalo? I would be so grateful if we could do this.Thanks...........Kelly (8/7/2007)
Response: hello, thanks for your quick response, i guess we are both working late tonight. so far so good, i just want to make sure the trailer will fit in the back of the pickup without the kayak. mostly concerned about length and height. the width you say from tire to tire is 4 ft and thats good. i dont think the trailer will be as long as the kayak, i'd hate for you to wake up your husband perhaps you can just take a tape ruler and measure the length and height of the trailer wihout the kayak. i will stay up with you so we can see for sure if i can get this transported for you. i plan on being in buffalo tomarrow arternoon/ evening. i will be in mass this weekend. (8/7/2007)
Response: Dave, My husband just told me he can break down the trailer!!! (8/8/2007)
Response: hi kelly, i have 8 ft of bed length leaving about 8 ft hanging out which would be awkward. are you sure that the trailer is welded one piece and is it designed to carry more than one kayak, if so than it probably is welded. sometimes a lightweight trailer can be folded for easier storage. it would be easier to judge with a picture. no we all do not have insurance. it can be aquired for your individual shipment at an additional cost of usually about $10 per $1000 of declared value. i would say i would stop by and take a look to see what i can do but that would require you to accept a bid and pay the uship fee of about $30 just for us to be able to talk to each other directly. you would be able to get your fee back or apply it to another bid if it didnot work out but if the trailer is welded one piece i would say it would be difficult for me to transport. (8/7/2007)
Response: Hi, Is it possible to check the trailer in the morning or do you need to know tonite? I can go outside with a flashlight if need be (8/8/2007)
Response: thats fine, i dont plan on leaving before 10:00am. talk to you in the morning. get some sleep! (8/8/2007)
Response: Thanks !! (8/8/2007)
Response: good morning kelly, have you discovered something that would make this easier to transport? (8/8/2007)
Response: Good morning, No,I feel like crying! The trailer cannot be broken down.Any ideas? (8/8/2007)
Response: i think we have done all we can do, its just bad timeing. wish i could do this for you but i think it would be too risky to transport it in the back of my truck, perhaps you can contact the other guy jim who offered to do it next week. i would suggest that before you let anybody deliver it by towing it to make sure that it has highway wheels and not local use wheels. highway wheels will be at least 13" in diameter, if the wheels are too small the bearings can fail on a long highway trip. the only other alternative is to have it transported on another trailer. best of luck to you on this and enjoyed talking with you. ~dave~ (8/8/2007)
Response: Dave, We got the trailer in half !!!!1 (8/8/2007)
Question: are you in a rush to get this? I will do it for 300 if it can wait about a week. jim (8/7/2007)
Response: Hi, Thanks for the response but I can't wait that long.Sorry (8/7/2007)
