Question: Hello, would you be paying for the actual disposal of the junk itself? (11/3/2007)

Response: I assume that I would- I don't have any idea how to go about figuring out how much that would cost, or where we would go to dispose of it. If you work locally and know anything about this, I would appreciate info and then I could call and find out. How do you normally handle this? (11/3/2007)

Response: I'm sorry but I don't know where it would go either. Probably the best place to start would be the yellow pages. When you find a place let me know and I can put in a bid for you. Thanks. (11/3/2007)

Response: Will do! (11/5/2007)

Question: Hello, is someone going to be available to help the driver load/unload? Any steps or obstacles? Good Day. (11/3/2007)

Response: OOps- don't know if our first note went thru or not- sorry, we can't help with the heavy things with regards to loading. Small stuff, sure-
Hope this helps (11/5/2007)

Response: Hello, our price is $16.00 per cubic yard for disposing of the items in the garage. $15.00 for the refrigerator and $15.00 for the BBQ. Any steps or obstacles? Good day. (11/6/2007)

Question: Hi, just a few questions and I think I can give you a reasonable bid. Is there any hazardous liquids to be disposed of, is the material reasonably accessable and are there any other larger items figured into your estimate yet? (Does it still look like a large pick-up truck load) Thanks, Jeff (11/3/2007)

Response: Jeff,
sorry we were slow to respond- didn't check e-mail this weekend. we did finish our garge clean-up, and after just now looking at the junk, there is definately not more than a standard pick-up's worth of things to be disposed of. I have removed some old computer-related things that need recyclying, so the only thing of question besides the frig are a few cans of paint. We have no problem with you not taking those. There are som old plastic sleds, some odd shaped packing materials, etc. and that's about it.
Hope this helps. We are very reasonable and want to make it worth you while, but don't want to pay a rediculous amoun, either.
Thanks,
Carrie and Jeff (11/5/2007)

Response: Carrie & Jeff thanks for your response. I don't see any problem and will guarantee proper disposal. Actually I will recycle whatever possible (packing material reused for shipping business, plastics glass and metals separated for recycling, wood reused mulched or burned in my outdoor wood stove, I'll even find a use for the paint and some household chemicals) I can understand your possible concern with computer files and to be honest I'm not to familiar with computer recycling, I think the moniter is the main concern expense wise. I think about $20, I know of at least 2 electronic recyclers but haven't checked prices for sure. My bid will be without computer componants and if accepted I could dispose of them for only the disposal sites fee (I would provide you with the receipt). Just so you know, Landfill fees' for about a pick-up load are around $20, refrigerators $15-20. Thanks, Jeff (fohkus) (11/5/2007)

Response: Jeff-
Sounds good! You have a deal! Thanks for addressing the issues of paint and such.
NOw, how do we officially set this up? Looking at the rules of this site, which we haven't used before, how do we officialy exchange pertinent info so we can go ahead?
thanks,
Carrie and Jeff (11/6/2007)

Response: Hi guys, I've been transporting for years'but new to Uship myself. I think our screens are different(shipper & service provider) so I'm kind of working blind. I think you should have an option to accept my bid (fohkus) then Uship will require a deposit from you, which is Uships' fee (I think it was $29.80) after that is comfirmed I believe they will release our contact imformation to each other and we are on our own from there. I'll look foward to hearing from you. Thanks, Jeff (11/6/2007)

Question: Hello, can the junk be picked up on Wednesday 11/07? Good day. (11/5/2007)

Response: Actually, Wed. would be good, and we both work from home so someone can arrange to be here. However, we really need to get a baseline quote from someone who knows where to dispose of the frig and bb-q, and if your estimate includes junk yard fees or not- we don't feel comfortable having someone come out here without knowing that first, for all of our best interests.
Thanks for your interest- hoperully we can make this work out. (11/5/2007)

Response: Hello, is someone going to be available to help the driver load/unload? Any steps or obstacles? Our price will include disposal fees. Good Day. (11/5/2007)

Response: I'm afraid that we can't help much with regards to the loading. other than the small stuff. My husband it recovering from hip replacement surgery and I'm getting P/T for neck and back. Sorry- (11/5/2007)

Response: Thanks, I will try to make a bid tomorrow. Pickup probably 11/07 between 9:00am and 12:00pm. Good day. (11/5/2007)

Question: Hello there, do you think everything would fit in a 5 x 8 Tailer. So basically the only large item is the Refridgerater? what are the Dimensions of that. My bid (if I chose to bid)would include all disposal fee's.
Thanks,,,,,,,,,,Terry (11/5/2007)
