Response: can you tell me about he size of your truck? are you a professional mover? when are you passing through austin? I have arranged another moving company, but if you can move all of my belongings, i might cancel it. I need to know: 1. t he size of your truck 2. could you pick up my things on wednesday September 15th in the evening? and when wouldyou arrive in irvine? 3. Question: I will be in a 20' moving truck (the large size), and it will be almost empty going to CA. I am not a professional mover - I live in Austin and I'm driving the truck to California to pick up some of my personal belongings and bring them back to Texas. I won't have the truck until 9/23 - I could load your stuff then and deliver on the 24th or 25th. If you can make those dates work, I won't be driving empty and you will be getting your move done for $400. (9/14/2004)
Response: I amleavign Austin on the 17th in the afternoon. With this news from you, it might be worth it for me to put my belongins into a friend's garage. I have to ask him it would work. He lives in French Place and works from 8 am-6 pm, so it would haev to be an evening pick up on the 23rd. I will get back to you as soon as possible. (9/14/2004)

Response: i just sent my friend an email and hope to hear from him shortly. If it doesn't work to have my stuff in his garage, could I put it in a storage unit and meet you this Thursday and give you a key? I would be renting a Uhaul tomorrow to move my stuff into storage. I had been planning to do the kind of shipping where I get space in a cargo trailer. It is more complicated b/c they leave the trailer on your property overnight, but it is less expensive than PODs or a traditional mover. If I have more boxes than my original quote states (I have to check) how would you want to negotiate that? With the other trailer, I had planned to just put everything that fit and ship anything else. We can discuss these details on the phone if it seems that it will work out, but I want to be sure that we are on the same page about how much stuff I have and the price, etc. (9/14/2004)
Question: Sure, I can pick your stuff up from storage. I can meet you just about anytime before to pick up a key. Unless the number of boxes is significantly higher, the $400 is fine. Response: my friend says i can use his garage so it looks like this will work. I probably have more boxes because I decided not to take my kitchen stuff in my car. I have a crappy old couch and chair that I was only going to take if they fit in the other truck. i think they would have because I stored all of my stuff in a 5 ft storage space a while ago. Anyway, the point is, I bought the loveseat for $25 and the chair for $8 so it isn't really worth it for me to pay extra to move it, but if it fits and you don't mind, i'd be psyched to have it. I will have to pay to rent a Uhaul to move my stuff to the garage and a cancelation fee. The cancelation has to happen TODAY or else the cancelation fee is trippled and it wouldn't be worth it to do it with you. Just to confirm, we could meet personally THIS Thursday September 16th to confirm the move? this way you could meet eduardo also.I have to work until 1:15, then I will cancel the other movers and accept your service. are you waiting on anyo (9/14/2004)
Question: My trip is definite so you should not be concerned about canceling your other arrangements. I can meet you this Thursday, 9/16, to get the key and meet your friend. I'm sure the loveseat and chair will fit and I will not charge you extra. I know you are concerned about trusting a complete stranger not to flake out, but I have used uShip a couple times before and have good feedback. Response: hey! remember me? you moved my stuff in september. well, i am moving again and wonder if you are still driving around. i am moving from Irvine to DC, but could move my stuff just to austin and then take it myself from austin to DC. this will all be in aug/september. just thought i'd see if you are stilll in business (9/14/2004)
