Questions for this shipment:
Question:
We have a quote submitted for a job that would place us in your area. If it is accepted I can present a reasonable bid to you. Thanks, Mike - Century Maritime. (7/30/2007)
Question:
where will this be hauled out for loading thanx Kenny (7/31/2007)
Response:
The boat is on land at the marina, on blocks and jack stands. The blocking and jacks stand will come with the boat for set up at destination. the marina has a boat lift to load it on the trailer. (7/31/2007)
Question:
im assuming this needs a hydraulic trailer or are their cranes to offload (7/31/2007)
Response:
There is a lift at the marina to load and I will arrange for a crane to offload at destination. So a hydraulic trailer will not be necessary, though hangers will be needed for the masts. (7/31/2007)
Question:
does the 47' include bow pulpit thanx Kenny (7/31/2007)
Response:
Yes it does. I have removed the railing from the pulpit and from the forward half of the boat. I have removed the pilot house down to the windown sills to reduce the height to 11 feet. The sides and windows have be demolished. The roof itself is on the boat placed forward of its orignal location. If this presents a problem, we can have the marina off load it and I can have it moved separately. (7/31/2007)
Response:
im a professional marina operator and boat tansporter out of Rockland,Me. is the weight from a travelift scale or is it a guess as i have a 30 ton Brownell hydraulic trailer with a 37' bed that can do whole job without need of a crane at all if its on blocks and stands now at proper height off ground is it possible for pictures of boat on land thanx Kenny 2 full serve marina in Rockland (7/31/2007)
Response:
HI Kenny, I will try to get pictures of the boat and Post them on the listing. The boat is on 18" blocking, flat keel - 12" wide. Eight Jackstands. It sounds like the hydraulic is the way to go. thanks! Bob (8/3/2007)
Response:
it does sound awful heavy for boat that size we would make another trip for masts not a big deal only 20 miles that way no huge overhang with a wide boat thanx Kenny (7/31/2007)
Response:
Hi Kenny -Any word yet on whether you will be able to do the job and if so for how much? Let me know either way. Thanks! Bob (8/2/2007)
Question:
Hi, Are you going to be there to load this onto the truck. I know you said you would be there to offload this with crane. I have a quote for you on this load. I just need to make sure before i bid that you can load it. thanks (8/3/2007)
Response:
HI Audrey, I see that your company is new to uShip. Can you provide me with references? (8/3/2007)
Response:
Hi, I am a landstar indpendent agent, Do a search for landstar. You can see our many shippers. Sorry I can not put a link on for you. As i do not want to get flagged by uship. There are many very large company's that work with lanstar. One is fema, the other is the goverment,ge,on and on from there. thanks Diamond5 (8/3/2007)
Question:
dear shipper, would be to assume this is the boat at great bay? i talked to sandie about this one if it is the same one how solid do you think it is? it looked like some of the planking may be lose in the foward part of the keel. i would be willing to put a bid in on the transport but would have to have a waiver signed about the integrity and soundness of the hull and superstructure,we have a 52' brownell tri axle air ride hydraulic trailer that would save you the cost of a crane and save the boat as well by not putting stress on the side of the hull during off loading,we too would take the mast on a separate load . do you have a way to off load the masts unto blocks? thanks bob at yachtsalvage p.s. if you go to our profile you will see we are capable with the right equipment to do the job! we don't have anyfeed back yet but have been at this for 25 years. (8/3/2007)
Response:
Hi Bob: Yes it is the same boat and yes I understand about the waiver and have no trouble signing it. I will talk to Sandie about the masts. I may leave them at the marina for the time being. I would like to see your bid. The hydraulic seems to be the way to go. Thanks! Bob (8/6/2007)
Response:
dear sir,I will get a qoute out to you, we will need a solid piece of level ground to place it on with enough room to pull the trailer straight out from under the boat, will we need to supply blocks and stands or will you have them. thanks bob at yachtsalvage (8/6/2007)
Response:
Hi Bob, The lot behind my house is about 2 acres of flat ground with a large driveway cut. You should have no problem. You can pull in turn or back to spot it is to be and then pull right out. I bought the blocking and stands from the marina - there are eight stands. They all go with the boat. I look forward to your quote. Thanks. bob (8/6/2007)
Response:
dear bob, sorry about the delay in the qoute to you, been out delivering 48 swan for a custermer and have been out of the office, i think it is off the ground enough to get the hydraulic trailer under it, if not we may need sandie to load with travrlift but i can always offload with the trailer, will have qoute for you 8-9-07 a.m. thanks bob at yachtsalvage (8/8/2007)
Response:
HI Bob, Thanks for the update. I look forward to the bid. Bob (8/9/2007)
Question:
Hi, Ok let me see if i can put this with the load, or what you said we can do. If you intrested in the price what is your load dates ? that way i can arrange with the driver ? Thanks Diamond5 (8/3/2007)
Question:
Hi, with the heavy haul permits, I can not haul mutiple pcs. They will have to be seperate pieces. I have to requote this price, with permits. Do you know the weight of each mast ? thanks Diamond5 Audrey (8/6/2007)
Question:
Hi, I just wanted to let you know, I can haul all the boat, mast etc. It would take two drivers separate escorts etc. I will requote, and rebid for the whole shipment. Shipment fee would be all inclusive, but if you bid i can fax you the break down of the whole quoted price. thanks diamond5 Audrey (8/6/2007)
Response:
No, that is okay. I will arrange for the marina to continue to store the masts indoors. I am getting crane quotes and will get back to you when this is finalized. Thanks. (8/6/2007)
Response:
Hi, Have you got an idea about the crain ? I can ship this with the mast and two driver. But the quote i gave you is just for the boat. let me know what your target dates are ? thanks diamond5 Audrey (8/8/2007)
Response:
Hi Audrey, I am still shopping for crane prices. They are prohibitively expensive. I need to get their price under $1,500 to make this feasible. Bob (8/9/2007)
Question:
hi Kenny again are you still needing this moved if so ill bid today will include both trips (boat and masts ) and escort cars with a hydraulic trailer to avoid crane charges unless too low @ marina then will need lift to load but we can unload once once on trailer are the masts too heavy for a few guys to offload if so may need a loacal boomtruck thanx Kenny (8/9/2007)
Response:
Hi Kenny, I am sorry but I just accepted someone elses bid just this morning. I appreciate your efforts and will keep you in mind should this first hauler cancel. Thanks. Bob (8/9/2007)
