Response: Someone will be at the home in cape may next weekend. I orginally thought someone would be there sooner then that but the 7th would be when someone could be there to give you the keys to the trailer. I would like to have the boat before the 18th of June.Thank you (6/1/2008)

Response: If you pick it up 6/8 when will you drop off in illinois? The logistics of all of this has been a nightmare. We will be out of town next week but my brother-n-law will be here to pay and retreive keys etc. When you pick up in cape may noone will be there but the keys and info will be hid some place for you. If you could pick up on the 7th or early on the 8 th someone will be there. I think someone is going down on the evening of the 7th. (6/2/2008)

Response: Hello, We had to rebook this shipment because our dates changed. The boat is at a friend of my sister's vacation home and they claim that the trailer is in good condition, but the hauler disagreed when he arrived on Sunday. The hauler left a voicemail and then immediately turned his phone off and would not return our calls, so we don't know what to think and decided it would be best to have it shipped on a flatbed. We looked you up again because you were our preferred hauler the first time we listed. I agree that $1200 is a fair price and would be willing to pay it to have it on a flatbed. We are leaving for vacation very early tomorrow morning so we won't be able to contact you. We would like to have it delivered to a relatives home in nearby St. Louis County, preferrably on Friday 6-13. If this date does not work let me know what does and we can work it out. If all this works, let me know and we can get it booked and I can give you the new address and contact info. Thx (6/9/2008)

Response: I see. Did the previous hauler tell you what was wrong? I don't think this will fit on my trailer... I have 22' total length and 86" width. If you can advise the issues to road ready the trailer maybe hauling it is salvagable? (6/9/2008)

Question: Hi Ande. I'm unsure exactly what happen with our Q&A thread but it appears you posted an edited response and my return answer is below that. I do not think I could get this on our trailer due to width of your trailer... unless there is a lift at each end. You simply can't winch a 4000 lb 8'6" wide boat and trailer onto a 7' wide flatbed car trailer (it would need to be hoisted! The quote of $1,200.00 was based on towing your trailer. If there was a lift equipped marina nearby each location then it would work but the cost to pay them might be better utilized to ship shape the trailer for towing? The 6/13 date would be an issue for me as my Daughters 16th b-day is this Wed. and I must be home till Sat. for parties planned. Given my schedule I could get the vessel delivered next week if the loading / trailer condition can be addressed. Minor trailer repairs (bearings, tires, lights) can usually be handled without problem on sight if we have access to parts (WM, HF, TSC, HD...). (6/9/2008)
