Questions for this shipment:

Question: when would you like to move? (12/25/2008)
Response: Hello, I would like to get a load of hay right away but flexibilty within 7-10 days and then 2 more loads before the May. Need price quote soon to determine if cost effective to have hay shipped. If it is I want to pay the farmer before hay is sold to another farmer. (12/25/2008)
Question: i could move as soon as tommarow depending on weather. i could do for 600.00 a load. wait ,load , unload, time and deliver. let me know if it sounds good and i will place a bid.. thanks and happy holidays.. (12/25/2008)
Response: How many bales can you deliver at once? can your trailer handle more than the 50-52 mentioned? (12/25/2008)
Response: i have a 48 ft step deck trailer capable of careying 40.000lbs as long as we load it correctly we should fit them..... (12/25/2008)
Response: I am waiting for a reply from the seller how many bales he has left for sale. I would want as many as your trailer can transport. He has already loaded 52 on a trailer but I would want more and as many as your trailer can carry. I suppose it depends on the loader tractor he has to load with. The bales are only 3.5' in height so an extra row may be put on top as long as the extra weight and height is ok. I sent him an email and have his phone number but did not want to impose on Xmas by phoning. I will call him tomorrow if I do not get an email response this evening. (12/25/2008)
Question: good morning just read your responce, let me know what you decide, we could do when ever, looks like we have some weather coming in so we could do it as soon as we have a window.. thanks alot... rocky.. chase trans llc........ check out my profile... (12/26/2008)
Response: Thanks. The seller is off next week and can load. Would prefer Monday; weather good for a few days; want to stack and tarp here next day after a quick unload. Small round bales so can push them off the trailer instead of using the tractor like I have done before so it would be fast. They are kept inside now and I want to tarp them before any wet weather gets to them on Thursday. Can you stack over 50 on your trailer because if not I am better to get larger bales and more tonnage per load? I have another seller in Argyle NY with larger bales only 20 miles farther from my house. Prefer is the smaller bales; one load now and more before May 1st; seller's loader may only stack 2 rows high on your trailer and a 3rd row may be too high anyway for height restriction 3.5x3=10.5'plus flatbed height but actually less than 10.5' because 2nd3rd rows put on top/between 2 bales saving a few feet and more like 9'+trailer height. I think he can do 3 rows if he grabs bale low. let me know. (12/26/2008)
Response: should be able to handle the whole load. lets shoot for monday am. i will place a bid ..thanks rocky chsae trans ... (12/26/2008)
Response: Hi Rocky, Everything would be ok for Monday. I can be there at loading and you could follow me home. Give me your best bid as I have another competing bid to consider. I will require transportation for more bales in the springtime (same place) and hopefully we can do business if things work out for both of us. Thank you for your prompt responses to my inquiries and I wish you, your family and friends a Happy Holiday Season. Regards Marc (12/27/2008)
Question: Hi: I submitted my bid on a per load basis. I should be able to handle 40 bales per load due to their size and could only stack 2 teirs high to keep under the 13' 6" height. The weight should be no problem as I can handle up to 48,000#. In any case good luck with your shipment as I am located in nearby Mechanicville, NY which is close to your pickup point. Thanks, Ed - Warrior Trucking, LLC (12/26/2008)
Question: Hi again: I think that if these bales are loaded a certain way it may be possible to get more than the 40 that I thought would fit. Stacking them a different way may be necessary to get to the 50 - 52 bale mark. I have no problem with hauling more than the 40 as long as it is within the legal weight limits. I noticed you were also talking with another hay dealer in Argyle, NY which is very close to me so I could be very flexible if you worked with him. Thanks, Ed - Warrior Trucking, LLC (12/27/2008)
Question: would you be interested in shipping 12 to 15 bales in a 14 by 16 ft box city van? (12/29/2008)
Response: Thanks for the inquiry but I would not be interested. What I am mostly looking for is the longest and lowest to the ground trailer so as to maximize the hay tonnage per load under the weight and height restrictions. (a drop deck trailer would work nicely) (12/29/2008)
Question: what is wieght of load? i have a 80 yard demo trialer, could it be used? (1/4/2009)
Response: each bale weighs 500lbs so weight is not going to be a problem (500lbs x 50= 25000lbs). how many bales can you fit in your trailer and are the sides too tall for the farmer's tractor loader to be able to load the second and possibly the third tier of bales. Is your trailer 36'long x 8'6" wide x 6'tall. The bales are 3.5'wide x 4' but can be loaded in a way to get 3 tiers and a total of 10.5' in height leaving only 3'for the trailer bed height to stay under the 13.5' limit. I am afraid that you will not be able to carry enough bales to make it economical. That is why I am looking for the lowest to the ground and longest flatbed trailer to haul this hay. Let me know what you think. (1/4/2009)
Question: thanks for responce. i could pickup any time depending on weather. this saturday looks like snow. could he load on sunday morning weather permiting? if not we could shoot for next saturday . let me know thanks rocky chase trans......... (1/6/2009)
Response: Hi Rocky, His preference is to load on a Saturday so lets shoot for the following Saturday because of this Saturday's forecast. Sundays are not a good day for me as well. I have been to the farmers place and payed him for the hay so we are all set to go. He has 100 bales total for me so as long as you can load 50 bales I will be happy and the other load can come at a later time when my animals have eaten most of the hay from the first load. He would like the second 50 bales removed prior to the 1st of May. He is a super guy and very easy to work with. The loading area will require you to back in from the road but there will be plenty of room to load once you are in his barnyard. He has loaded a tractor trailer before so there should be no problem. Thanks Marc (1/6/2009)
