Questions for this shipment:
Question:
I could tow it. If you are unsure about its wheels/bearings, I would take it to a local boat/trailer shop to have it any work done prior to driving it to NC. I have a recent reference for towing a boat from Craig's list I can provide. I am NOT a DOT licensed carrier and other than standard 300/500K of liablity insurance on my van (which covers any trailers), I don't offer any damage or collision insurance. I am planning on leaving San Fran in the morning, so please let me know ASAP if I should formally bid. $ 1100. (7/25/2005)
Response:
You have probably already left from SF....price a little high. Would the cost of inspection been included in total price...also wanted someone with insurance. (7/25/2005)
Question:
If you would be willing to bring the boat, and meet me in Fresno on Saturday or Sunday, I could get your boat to NC for $1400. Is that possible? (7/27/2005)
Response:
That's pretty much impossible. I'm uying from a friend and I'm sure he doesn't want to drive it a couple hundred miles. How would you bring boat...in an enclosed van? (7/27/2005)
Question:
By the way - You would be saving $350 by bringing the boat to Fresno. My bid would have to be that much higher if the boat absolutely has to be picked up in Redding. (7/27/2005)
Response:
Bid is high and I'm sure you got my other response. (7/27/2005)
Question:
You didn't have a target price for that run. What are you looking to pay? (7/28/2005)
Question:
Hello! I will pull your boat for 1,000.00. Thanks! Glenn (8/15/2005)
Response:
Glenn..the price sounds OK.....where are you, what kind of a rig do you have? Insurance etc....I see you have completed 13 jobs for uShip...any cross country? (8/15/2005)
Question:
Hello! I have over 1,000,000 miles of save driving.I have a brand new 1500 heavy duty chevy crew cab w/24 hour roadside assistance. My full coverage insurance(through geico) extends to the trailer only. You would have to insure the boat from point A to B,through your own insurance co. Thanks! Glenn (8/15/2005)
Response:
Glenn: My friend is back from Canada and is ready when you are to pull my boat...can you give me acouple of days warning so I can get him the $500 at pick-up...hope we can still work this out. Thanks, Bob in Fayetteville Boat is in Palo Cedro...I will give you his phone number whenever you need it. I have insurance worked out on the boat. (8/15/2005)
Question:
Is this boat still available? Im in CA now and need to get to the east coast. Let me know ASAP, I can provide all of our insurance info. (8/29/2005)
Response:
Yes, it is available....how much will it cost? Where in CA are you located? (8/29/2005)
Question:
This would cost $1900.00 plus uship fee, and tolls. Let me know if this works and I will place a formal bid. (8/30/2005)
Response:
Much too high for me....I'm thinking half of that. (8/30/2005)
Question:
Hello,I can pull your boat for 1600 maybe a little cheaper if i get this other load with it.I am fully insured and have pulled boats and trailers cross country. I have a 2001 dodge dually one ton diesel that will do the job easy.I can leave asap let me know Cliff (8/30/2005)
Response:
Cliff: It's important to know how much cheaper...I might consider if it were 500 less...where are you in CA? (8/30/2005)
Question:
Do you know if the trailer has bearing buddies on it so that I could easily keep them greased? (8/30/2005)
Response:
I have no idea but I can email my friend who is selling me the boat and ask...how can I email an answer to you in the next couple of days? How much to do this pull? (8/30/2005)
Question:
Hello I am working on a load to TN if I get it I'll take the boat for 900.00 i am in Bakersfield area CA. I will let you know by sat,If so I'll place bid Cliff (8/31/2005)
Response:
That sounds like a deal...Palo Cedro is up near Redding....let me know this weekend and I will put you in contact with my friend there. (8/31/2005)
Question:
I have an active bid below. You may email me the answer on this board or within the bid. The bearing buddies are not a necessity, they just make it easier. (8/31/2005)
Response:
I will accept this bid of $1200 if this is still open for you....the trailer does have bearing buddies and my friend was clear to point out they never were submerged while launching this boat. (8/31/2005)
Question:
Yes, I can still take this. I will include up to $5,000 insurance for the $1200. I will need the exact make, model, year and value of the boat. I can pick up afternoon/evening of 9/7. Please note the payment types. I am traveling so personal check is to hard for me to cash. Once you accept the bid, we will get contact information. Thanks for your consideration. (9/4/2005)
