Response: I have to fly out and pack it up, so probably the first week of May. (4/15/2009)
Question: FYI, most of the movers who would be bidding on this and who you would want to move it do not need this packed up. They will blanket wrap it. You should check the feedback on EVERYONE who bids on this to be sure you are getting quotes from a company that is reputable and has a track record of satisfying their customers. Of course if you are flying out anyway, then it doesn't matter. I could pick this up anytime between now and May 15th and deliver to Brooklyn for $325. Response: Hi Gus, this seems very reasonable to me, especially if I didn't have to pack it up, it would save me a trip out. I just have to sort out some logistics, I think pickup would be closer to May 15, and there's no rush to get it here, as long as it gets here eventually. My greatest concern, as I mentioned, is that nothing happens to it, although it is solid wood and cast iron, I'm just protective of it because it was my grandfathers and it has a lot of sentimental value. But this fee sounds great to me. (4/20/2009)
Response: Ok, thanks for your reply. I can't be sure I wouldn't have to pickup before the 15th but you can check my feedback if you haven't already to see what type of service we provide. Our feedback speaks for itself as far as you feeling comfortable that we can do this with no problem. The truck will be in southern Ca the 1st part of May, but I can't guarantee exactly what days, I figured I could refine that if you were interested. So your thoughts are it would not be ready for pick up until the 15th, even if it didn't have to be packaged? Thanks, Gus @ Storti Moving (4/20/2009)
Response: Oh, it can definitely be ready by then (if I don't have to wrap it, it's ready now) but I just need to make sure someone is there during that time, and someone is in brooklyn to receive it. I can figure this out in the next week or so... (4/20/2009)
